Lawsuit Reform is a Common Sense Bipartisan Issue
American Legislator ^ | 8-9-13 | Amy Anderson

Lawsuit reform is an issue that enjoys wide-ranging bipartisan support, with demonstrated appeal to advocates of small government and progressive government alike. All Americans have an interest in the fundamental rule of law and in the fair and justified treatment of participants in our economy. As lawsuit reform aims to pursue accurate justice, so it aims to keep the economy properly functioning.

Oklahoma legislators recently voted in bipartisan majorities to reinstate more than two dozen lawsuit reforms that had previously been struck down on a technicality by the state supreme court. Alabama passed a key lawsuit reform with overwhelming majorities this year, while Utah and Virginia enacted common-sense lawsuit reform policies with little-to-no opposition. A number of lawsuit reforms developed by members of the American Legislative Exchange Council have proven to be helpful guides for lawmakers around the country.

when recently arguing with a liberal about the latest shutdown he commented “the GOP congress should spend its time on more productive things such as Tort Reform”...

i laughed for a variety of reasons, but most of all asking him, “do you really think the imperial president will hurt his crony slip and fall lawyers considering all the $$$ they contributed to his campaign??”

Lawsuit reform is a one hundred percent partisan issue as far as the vast majority of liberals are concerned.

They look at civil litigation as a chance of winning big on the lottery without buying a ticket. Nothing you can ever say will make them see that they are at least as likely to be the one sued. Facts don’t matter. Only the fantasy that they might “ strike it rich.”

What exactly are those reforms?
When someone uses the keywords "Bipartisan" and "Common Sense" it's usually neither.
Especially when the article leaves out all relevant details.
