FULL TITLE: Teenage mom who thought she was dating rapper Bow Wow after they 'met online and he sent her $10k' discovers she was victim of a lesbian's elaborate catfish hoax
A teenage mother has been left devastated after finding out that her 'boyfriend' - millionaire rapper Bow Wow - was in fact a woman conducting an elaborate Catfish hoax.
Keyonnah's whirlwind romance started four months ago when she liked Bow Wow's fan page on Facebook. Out of the blue, the rapper began messaging her, escalating to daily text messages where the pair would plan their life together.
The super fan became more and more convinced of the relationship as Bow Wow sent her $10,000 over the course of the relationship.

However Keyonnah retained some skepticism, so contacted MTV show Catfish, which checks out online relationships to find out if real life matches up to the online world.
Sadly for Keyonnah she had been duped - by a lesbian woman from Atlanta named Dee.
Dee told the MTV cameras that she created the Bow Wow profile to lure straight women.

Did she really get teh ten grand?
It would appear so. From MTV no less. One of their weird tv shows.
bttt
I can be duped for $10G ... address info available upon request, cashier’s check only please. :)
I can venture a guess...Bow Wow is mangy two legged dog, Catfish is a mangy two legged dog with gills and MTV is Mangy Twerps Vomiting.
Thinking conspiratorially, what if the show "Catfish" manufactured this in advance - find a lesbian & fund her with 10K, set her loose and wait for an unsuspecting but deemed entertaining mark, in exchange for airing rights when the scam is "uncovered" later?
“Mom, Dad—meet Bow Wow.”
I found it odd that “catfish” and “lesbian” were in the same title.
Take the money and run.
“I found it odd that catfish and lesbian were in the same title.”
I’m trying to figure the connection there too, is why I asked.
The death spiral of American culture continues toward the sudden impact.
Romans 1:18 “God’s wrath is revealed from heaven as...”
“Keyonnah” says it all.
Yes. Where do we sign up for our $10,000?
Bow Wow is a rapper, used to be called “Lil Bow Wow”, but I guess he’s grown up now. “Catfish” is a word for a type of scam where people pretend to be someone else, real or invented, and get into online relationships with unsuspecting partners. The Manti Te’o incident is probably the best known case.
I’ll take “Smells Like” for $200 Alex.
“The Manti Teo incident is probably the best known case.”
Never heard of it!
Ya, he was just a little boy, when discovered by Snoop Doggy Dogg, when that rapper went by the name Snoop Doggy Dogg. In keeping with the dog theme, he named the boy Little Bow Wow. Then he grew up and is just Bow Wow now.
Since Snoop Dog became Snoop Lion, maybe Bow Wow will change to Roar???
A Bow Wow is a girl all the beer in Milwaukee can't make look good even at closing time.
A catfish is what you role in cornmeal and fry.
MTV- beats the hell out of me, but at least I got 2 out of 3.
Much appreciate the explanations. 2 out of 3 isn’t bad.
Catfish is an actually somewhat entertaining show on MTV. The hosts of the show operate a service where they help people who are dating online to find out if the people they are dating are real, or if they are being “catfished”, meaning tricked.
The guys, at least as presented on the show, are pretty good at investigative work. They find out lots of stuff about the online personality, then if it looks safe, they will attempt to arrange meetings between their client and their online friend. Sometimes it works out great, sometimes it is hilariously funny, occasionally it is sad.
I’ve only actually watched a couple of the shows, my daughter likes to watch it. It doesn’t have the sex, violence, or utter lack of morals of some of the other MTV shows.
They have pics of that “Dee” person at the link, and her being a lesbo is actually a public service.
Somethin' stinky going on here.....
Sheesh, I missed all three and the answers were right in front me all the time.......
If someone will send me $10,000, I will pretend to be their online boyfriend. Well, maybe if a girl sends me $10,000.
Nahhh, it happens all the time.
