Try harder.. Think about all of the differences in our party already.. The Tea Party is a fiscal Conservative base that captured the divisions within the whole party, by and large.. We social Conservatives are already divided into sub groups, but came together on big picture fiscal issues..
That combination worked in the 2010 election and worked miracles.. It can happen again, without fracturing the entire party on single issues.. It can be done but we are going to have to make some coalitions to do it again..
Work on that, for the 2014-16 cycles, not reinventing the wheel in 2, 3, or 4 elections..
If you are asking us to abandoning any social conservative position the answer is hell no. If you think that surrendering on issues and moving to the center wins election, say hi to Dole, McCain and Romney for me.
