I have long advocated getting away from the big cities, even the suburbs. They're often choked by libtards, and many have high crime rates. However, if you are going to put down roots in a small town somewhere, make sure you read up on the town. Investigate what the place is like, because idyllic appearances can be deceptive.
It is quite clear hear that the woman and her family were considered outsiders and the loyalty of the town to their own blinded them to whatever crimes were committed by these filth spawn cretins on the football team. I have no doubt that they could have murdered her, and the attitude and result would have been the same. I have seen such towns, where a family owns the highest judge seat, or the mayor's office, and there is a kind of corrupt network. They are horrible places to live and best avoided. From my observations, it also seems that while the outright corruption and favor-plays are in the hands of fathers, a lot of the organized torment and what you might call 'community terrorism' is initialized by a network of mothers.
Just be careful where you go, and make sure you know who your children are hanging around with, especially at that age. DO NOT let them have these kind of house parties when you are not around, for many obvious reasons.
And I will say this much. I'm a God-fearing Christian and I know the wages of wrath are great. Turning the other cheek is our goal. But had I been this girl's father (and I tragically note that her father passed away), I'm not sure I would have been able to prevent myself from loading a shotgun, throwing it in the back of my truck, driving 'round to this punk's house, and blowing his dick off.

The girl’s mother lost my sympathy when I read about the 14 year old texting the boy. Any mother who permits her 14 year old to have a smart phone is responsible for its results. My 4 kids know (all under 13) that they will never have a phone of their own that texts or has web until they are 18.

This 17-year-old had sex with a 15-year-old girl he knew was drunk, which is statutory rape. I’d like to ask the (non) prosecutor White what event, before, during, or after that crime could possibly change that fact and make the whole thing non-prosecutable. And what fact, before, during, or after the event could change the fact that this guy knowingly left an unconscious girl in the freezing weather that could kill her.
This is sick. Someday these people will face the incorruptible Judge; I hope they repent before that happens. Unfortunately, it seems like this boy’s “friends” and family are more interested in setting him up for a very, very hard fall in the day of Justice.

Montag813, I hate to break this to you, but texting predates smartphones by many years. Smartphones just made it a tad easier to do.
The first text message "Merry Christmas" was transmitted in December of 1992, but it was not on a smartphone which were not due to hit the market for twelve years.

My BIL was up with his kids this past weekend - the 10 year old has a $100/mos I phone.....and their faces are buried in them to the exclusion of the world - I left my MIL's house during this visit when his wife was doing the same and ignoring the conversation in the room. I dont give a damn if they came from Atlanta and flew countless hours....

Yes I am, to a partial extent. A meteor didn't just fall from the sky and strike their house. Read the story and see all that transpired. Where was the mother??? Why was the 14 year old daughter boozing it up with a 13 year old in her room? What values were taught in this home? What TV/music/computer sites had the daughter accessed in the past? Why did the 14 year old girl have unrestricted access to a phone? These are all valid questions. I don't give a crap if it offends you. It's called parenting.
