Posted on 10/14/2013 8:22:39 AM PDT by Kip Russell
Another Democrat in the Colorado Senate is facing recall for voting for new gun control laws. Two other Democrats faced recall earlier this year over those laws, and despite having Michael Bloomberg and his anti-gun allies pour millions of dollars into Colorado to defend them, they were both defeated and removed. This third recall would switch control of the state Senate from D to R.
So Gov. John Hickenlooper is scared, and wants Bloomberg and his anti-gun nuts to just stay away.
Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper suggests national gun-control groups stay away from a looming recall battle that could switch control of the state Senate to the GOP. The groups poured money into an unsuccessful defense of two state lawmakers recalled over their gun votes earlier this year.
Colorado is a state that people like to be themselves and solve their own problems, the Democratic governor said in an interview with Capital Download, USA TODAYs weekly video newsmaker series. They dont really like outside organizations meddling in their affairs, and maybe the NRA gets a pass on that.
But (it is) probably not a bad idea for gun-control groups, such as the one established by New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, to curb their efforts if gun-rights activists collect enough signatures to force a recall vote on state Sen. Evie Hudak, a two-term Democrat from a suburban district north of Denver, he said.

Yeah, we’ll stay out-right after the election. It’s the Obama “negotiating” strategy.
Taking the communists targets out one at a time, soon however, they will set the selector to fully automatic for maximum fire power.
Doesn't want Coloradans to really get to know DemoRats, ignorance is bliss.
Colorado is a state that people like to be themselves and solve their own problems,
Do you believe in God, Gub?
Maybe those recent floods are just a portent of what is to come.. climate change be damned.
DemoncRatic rule has a high cost .. for all.
Of course, the NRA is made up of law-abiding citizens from all over the United States. While a national group, the NRA is Everyman and Everywoman.
MAIG, on the other hand, is a group of effete liberal political class snobs people can't stand to be around.
So Hickenlooper is wrong again.
You are missing an "N" DemonRATS. Check your obama spell checker.
Seems FReepers forgot how to read.
Hick is asking ANTI-GUN GROUPS TO STAY OUT.
We might have expected him to ask the NRA to stay out, but that IS NOT HIS MESSAGE here.
He wants Bloomy to stay out, NOT the NRA.
I’m reading between the lines!
He starts by “asking” anti-gun groups to stay out.
And, I believe I know what the next step is, i.e. how long after that will he “ask” the NRA to stay out?
He can't ask the NRA to stay out. They are citizens of his state.
Colorado is a state that people like to be themselves and solve their own problems,...... that is the case for SOME Colorado voters, but those along the Front Range are die-hard liberals. How the hell else did some odd named twirp liberal get to be Gov?
The recalls are like Mid-term elections, those not having their ox in the ditch don’t bother. The Gun Ox is bigger than the weinie Lib ox.
Check your OWE-bama spell checker. There, FIFY.
“He can’t ask”
LOL. If the Recall Hudak petition gets enough signatures, this money coming in from outside leftists will be 10x the size of the last two. If Hudak goes, democrat control of the Senate in CO goes. Losing control of the Senate will cost a lot of rich people a lot of money.
Yes really. How can he ask the NRA to stay out of the state if the NRA members are already citizens of the state?
“How can he...?”
By opening his mouth and speaking the words!
You know that politicians will abuse their authority when it suits them, no?
“This third recall would switch control of the state Senate from D to R.”
Go Colorado! Two down and one to go. This one is the easiest target of the three.
If this Rat governor signed the law, why isn’t he facing a recall?
He's too popular. While he might be defeated in the upcoming 2014 election, there isn't the slightest chance of successfully recalling him.
Wonder if he is going to ask Bloomberg to stay out too?
That is, essentially, what he just did.
