GO NOLES!
I think the Noles might be a sleeper this season. They’re ‘99 Strong’ this year.
Keep an eye on that FSU QB. He looks like another Cam Newton. Inasmuch as Clemson is at home, you have to favor them, but FSU with this guy at QB is capable of trouncing them.
Half way through the season, and 13 teams left undefeated. There is a lot of football left. This is going to be one interesting second half.
I hate to say it, but I see FSU rolling in this one.
Their QB is from Alabama. The reason FSU snagged him and not Sabin is that he could start at FSU rather than ride the bench behind Mc Carron for a year.
11. Missouri :)
This is Oregon’s year.
Their offense. Is unstoppable, even without DAT. Defense is great this year, too.
Even Alabama doesn’t have the speed to keep up with the Ducks.
Looks like with your QB down for the season that will be the high mark of the season.
In 2016, Tennessee and Virginia Tech are going to play at the Bristol Motor Speedway in front of 160,000 fans.
Check out the images of what it's gonna look like here
"What if we'd had a College Football Playoff selection committee in effect from 1998 to 2012?"
Makes the convincing case that this is just a precursor to an 8 team playoff format.
DUUUUUUUCKS!!!
Did you see the contact lens that the Ducks cheerleaders wore Saturday?
Bama’s got some big boys. They will wear out Oregon like LSU did last time. Oregon doesn’t play in the SEC.
No, what are you talking about?
If you look at the Bama/TAMU game..it shows that the Alabama defense can't handle a really good offense..like Oregon's
LSU won because an Oregon defensive player didn’t complete a tackle when the ball carrier was on top of him.
Oregon got a bunch of big players now, too.
There is no way the Alabama defense backfield can contain the Oregon passing attack.
My #1 daughter scored great seats and a primo tailgate spot. Weather should be krisp and perfect. I'm in heaven! Go Tigers!
LSU beat us by 2 with us fumbling 4 times. Yeah, we were dominated.
Go Ducks,
RO Tide
Where is the Swoosh?
They probably have it tattooed on their backsides...
The front row will need binoculars. The back row will need telescopes.
Congrats!!! What a year with two of the biggest games evah at Death Valley this year.
LSU beat Oregon 40 to 27 when they last meet. Yes, you were dominated.
I’d take Texas A&M over the Ducks.
FSU’s backup is really good, also from Alabama, and was the QB who went to AJ McCarron’s high school and took over for McCarron after McCarron signed withe Bama.
Oddly, rumor is he, Jacob Coker, will transfer to Bama and try to replace AJ Mc next season.
A month to prepare, and plenty of speed on Bama’s D.
Did I mention a Month to prepare? Washington’s RB put up almost 170 yards rushing on Oregon...Bama has 3-4 Rbs that good...and a better Oline..and a better QB...and better WRS...and a better D that is improving every weeks since playing Johnny Football.
Not in the NC they didn’t. That was in their home stadium.
Go Ducks!
You will win on paper every time. We are just a little program in a small state that shouldn’t even be able to compete, but we will. Speed Kills.
Oh yeah, he had 49 yds at the half and we messed up on a 4th and 1 for 75 yd TD. We know a 20 pt loss would be a moral victory for us Pac 12 guys.
DUUUUCKS!
Washington’s Bishop Sanky is the nations leading rusher. Aside from one long run, Oregon kept him under control.
Alabama only has two running backs with more than 40 carries. The next most has just 18.
Marita has a better QB rating than McCarron.
Oregon has 3-5 players faster than Alabama player.
Since playing Johnny Football, Bama has played Colorado State, Ole Miss, Georgia State, and Kentucky. There is no way you can honestly say that schedule is an accurate gauge for an improved defense.
Also keep in mind that Mariota was Oregon’s first choice over Johnny Football. Mariota is bigger and faster than Johnny, and faster than anyone on Alabama’s team.
Our two WRs are faster than anyone on A&M. It would be an entertaining game.
DUUUUUUUUUCKS
If Alabama plays man defense, Oregon will run all over them. If they play zone, Mariota will pick them apart. On top of that, the pace of the Oregon offense will cause Alabama to badly miss 5-6 coverage assignments that will cost Alabama dearly.
It’s the game we should have had last year. The NCAA is absolutely corrupt.
Oregon would have beaten Alabama last year. ND had no business being in the BCS Championship game.
We are much better on both sides of the ball this year. Our DL may be the best we have ever had and they don’t want to see our DBs.
And Oregon’s schedule is this:
Nicholls State
Tennessee
Virginia
Cal
Colorado
Washington
Not exactly awe inspiring.
Ole Miss put up yards and points on everyone they played except Bama.
Manziel is out performing Mariotta THIS year..putting up more offense.
Mariotta’s 40 time is 4.48. Fast, but not legendary fast. Plenty of 4.4 guys on Bama’s team. In fact, Manziel is only SLIGHTLY slower at 4.53 or so.
Mariotta is good, but let’s not get carried away.
Manziel basically plays sandlot football throwing it up to 6 foot 5 WRs. It works, but its really just organized Chaos.
Oregon plays fast, but it isn’t really organized sandlot chaos. Totally different comparison in terms of prep..especially over a month or so.
The thing is, we’ll spend so much time arguing about this and Bama will lose to LSU and Oregon will lose to Stanford or UCLA and it will be jinxed!
I hope it happens to see what the outcome is.
Never underestimate Nick Saban. LSU made that mistake in Jan. of 2012.
