There’s foodstamp recipients who fall into the category of people who need help, trough no fault of their own.

They're what, about 1% of the total number of recipients?

My County in Alabama includes the City of Birmingham — 16%. I thought it would be higher.

Try entering the name of your county. Results are by county, not city.

If you look at this .pdf, you can probably extrapolate for a vague idea: SNAP monthly

Richland county here in SC works out the same percentage. I expected higher too.

Yeah, something like that. Meanwhile, we have seen that the SNAP resources are being repacked in containers and shipped to places like Kenya and elsewhere Obama has African family or allies.

Bingo. Only person I know who I honestly felt needed Food Stamps was a lady with five kids who lived next-door to us. She was a stay-at-home mom. Her husband was murdered. Not a lot of good options for her after that.

The other 98% are just looking for freebies.

The source is the USDA website which has been shut down. (Funny, I accessed it recently.)

Allegheny County must have more. I would think there were nearly 157,000 just within the City of Pittsburgh alone.

My response was to fella re: post #10. Washington DC was not recognized. I tried by zip code, then by accessing additional data on USDA site where the tool was originally obtained. USDA site is currently down. I entered my zip and got the data for my county.

There are 6,494 people on SNAP in my county, which is 18%. I’m actually surprised it is not higher. It is a 79% increase since 2000, but it is very noticeable that the biggest increases have occurred since 2008, until then it was pretty steady at about 8%-10%.

I don’t know that it would be selective. Suspect that the Extortionist-in-Chief wants to cause as much pain and chaos as possible. (Please give Mesta my best.)
