Well, seeing the news reports on the U.S. Federal Government Debt Ceiling, the can got kicked down the road again.
Considering the U.S Federal Government is borrowing about 5 Billion Dollars per Day,That is one expensive can;)
They raised the debt limit to Feb? How much did they raise it? Are they saying they’ll reach it again in Feb?
McCain says he hopes we don’t go through this again in 15 years. I’m sure he’s planning on still being there.
It more expensive than you think. They are borrowing it from the Fed who conjure it up out of thin air, thereby mortgaging the value of our currency. And Fitch seems to think that this is better than getting control of our finances.
I see he's already lying again. Don't kid yourself, he's been loving the past two weeks.
e can they’re kicking is OURS!
Not to good at math, think about $600 Billion.
When I look at Mccain all I think of is a straight jacket
for some strange reason. Bawaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Like many politicians, he'll likely go from the Capitol building to the mortuary someday.
The GOP Old Guard had better start making retirement plans cause we plan to primary them and kick their ass out!!
Correct. If McQueeg was ever planning on going back to civilian life, he would have done it last election (2010 for him). That was the signal he’s staying until he leaves office feet first.
Congressional Budget and Impoundment Control Act of 1974
Balanced Budget and Emergency Deficit Control Act of 1985.
Budget Enforcement Act of 1990.
Balanced Budget Act of 1997.
Budget Control Act of 2011.
Yep, one more act ought to do it.
Our economy is still in such bad shape, even after trillions spent on stimulus, that the Fed has to continue printing money and buying 85 billion a month in bonds, and the government has to keep raising the debt ceiling.
How is this good news that keeps the stock market soaring?
I have no clue, always wondered about that.
It’s all about the liquidity.
It’s the “Yeswe” Can.
So many of them do that, that Capitol Hill has become the mortuary. They sure don't vote and act like there's a living being over there, just a bunch of dead men's souls and whitewashed tombs.
They vote like there is no hope and no future. IOW, like dead people. Dead people need not worry about paying the credit card bills. Heck they don't even check the mail (unless they're waiting for an absentee ballot).
Our Congr Rep here in Indianapolis basically did that. She suffered a serious stroke and was essentially unable to read or write but stayed on for years finally keeling over in the House one day.
But the day was saved as her grandson (double win - he’s black AND Muslim) won the seat to replace her.
they have to add ~500-750 billion just to cover all of the expenses they weaseled to not show up on the tab over the last 150 days, which is the last time there was a change in the debt, because the treason crew just quit accruing it then.
I’d say to make it to February they are going to have to raise it at least a trillion dollars.
Ugh. Some "representation." Only works if you are equally dead, corrupt, destructive, etc. :(
The demoralizing saying that "the rule of law is dead" has become a literal statement.
