When we got the new salt blocks for the cows on on the farm my brother used to chip off a chunk from the block and dared me to lick it and I always did, then the dare went to eating a small portion of it, which I did!
Growing up on a farm makes one do strange things..
Unrefined. Has all of the trace minerals concentrated from the ocean. Most salt labeled "sea salt" has been refined and contains nothing but NaCl. If it's white, it's no good.
We use Himalayan.

I had a teacher in grade school who would drink water with a drop of iodine in it.
I bought some iodine to try that and I did it for about 2 days, but I discovered I am not iodine deficient but adrenal impaired and now taking a low dose of cortisol.
