That’s the story. I wish I could find that book again, it’s been years since I read it.

I liked the author’s description of the mountain outside Ogden where he test fired everything. The mountain put up with it all until he made the 37mm, then the mountain gave up and large parts started sliding downhill.

Just how many non-degreed or degreed people today would be able create the many designs or products?

John Moses Browning was a god and a patriot. I’m proud to say that at one time, back before a tragic boating accident, I owned several of his designs.

High quality and beautiful in their simplicity and reliability.

Lady Liberty owes a lot to JMB.

Happiness is a belt fed weapon. Especially if it was designed by Mr. Browning.

I don’t think so, my Great Uncle was Mission President in that area and I see no mention of this in our family lore.

Yeah man. Bombs can be ‘’smart’’ but ‘’Ma Deuce’’ just need to tap you once and it’s game over.

I read somewhere that John Browning basically pioneered Human Engineering. He used cadevors to get the interface of his firearm designs to fit the human body. He would open up the various parts of the body such as arms and hands to be sure that the firearm fit the body without strain or joint damage. He was truly an American treasure!

I used to be the proud owner of several pieces designed by Mr. Browning. They included three model 37 Ithaca shotguns, two 1911’s, a Browning Superposed shotgun, a model 11 Remington shotgun and two Browning High Power pistols. Unfortunately, they were all lost in a tragic boating accident on 7 November, 2012.

“The Rugers are very popular with sportsmen and target shooters, but the gun is a major PITA when it comes to cleaning and maintenance.”

Amen to that, Brother!

Yes they are - in one of the most heavily guarded facilities in the US, down on the Sandia range.

Good stuff.

What a coincidence! I also lost two Hi-Powers, two 1911s, an A-5, and not less than three .22 semi autos in the untrackable depths of our lake.!

Darn canoes are soooo unstable.....
