ESPN Baseball Legend Peter Gammons Takes Swipe At Ted Cruz
Twitter ^ | 10/18/2013

Peter Gammons ‏@pgammo 19m How great is this week when the two teams down 3-2 are pitching Kershaw Scherzer, Ryu, Verlander? Not even Ted Cruz can mess these moments

Geeze Peter...can't leave politics out of baseball? Gotta just get a dig in there for your Disney overlords? I loathe what ESPN has become. Just one giant PC factory and love fest for Obama and his cult.

Soccer is like any other sport. You have to be vested in a team to enjoy it.

A baseball game between two teams you know nothing about nor care about most would find boring, even if they love watching the World Series.

And in this country, where soccer isn’t ingrained in the culture, as it is in England, it does require an investment of time to learn about the teams, players, traditions and history of the game. But I guarantee, once you become vested in a team and follow them, the game provides all the thrills and drama of any other sport.

Wondering if anyone has been watching the new FOX sports channels? I’ve stopped watching SportsCenter..I watch the FOX show instead..those two Canadians are quite funny..and no more ever Steven A Smith..however, to give the devil his die..Outside The Lines is a superb show..

yup. As one who has watched great sporting events/games from 1972 - 2000, I could care less about all sports due to some of the things you posted.

Just a different type of social engineering today.

I do admit that I am listening to the Cards on the radio though. No more Direct TV (cost), just NetFlix and my radio.

Listening to a ball game on radio is pretty fun.

I also see his mug on MLB. The liberals think they won big over the Debt ceiling and they are feeling smug.

Sadly cherry, your husband is a dying breed in America. We are less a nation of doers anymore and more a nation of talkers and expectors. We are becoming a nation of “wanters” rather than a nation of “doers”. Rugged individualism is discouraged. Weeping and wailing encouraged.

I have heard his liberal garbage out of his mouth on ESPN and on MLB network since he has shown his puking face. I despise him. Refuse to listen to anything he might have to say. He is always sticking his POLITICAL views into a baseball conversation. Thus, I refuse to watch. I also have really cut back my watching ESPN. I don’t much like them in the first place, but now they are in on the rehabbing of Oberrman so that he can somehow come back like Jimmy Carter did. They are rehabbing him there. Then I saw his puking mouth on TBS the other night and immediately left the channel and did not come back till well after the game started. I’d rather watch re-runs of COPS than listen to any of those pukes.

Orwell's Ten Minutes Hates (1984) were dead-on accurate. The sheep are told whom to hate, and they spend days spewing venom at "the enemy", knowing nothing about the actual person, events, or truth of the matter. Those in control grin with pride at their beloved control, the media proudly and inwardly crow about their power to influence public opinion, and the rest are left to be controlled or destroyed. We really are in it now.

I used to be the same way but for the very reason you posted I signed up a few years back and find immediate satisfaction with a variety of celebs and politicos who respond in real time directly to me...it’s worth it.

I met this ahem legend in the early 90s at a gym. Had a short chat. I don’t think either of us were impressed with each other. Met George Will around the same time not at a gym though. Also underwhelmed by him.
