FORT WORTH, Texas, - The executive chef for the Texas Motor Speedway said the menu now includes the Shake'n Bacon Brew, a beer milkshake infused with bacon.
Joel Pena, executive chef for speedway food provider Levy Restaurants, said he created the bacon and beer beverage for the upcoming AAA Texas 500 NASCAR races, beginning Oct. 31 at the Fort Worth facility, the Houston Chronicle reported Thursday.
The meaty, hoppy treat's ingredients include includes 6 ounces of Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream, 2 ounces of bacon syrup, 2 ounces of candied bacon, a half bottle of Rahr & Sons Ugly Pug Black Lager, whipped cream and bacon bits.
Pena said the shakes cost $10 each and non-alcoholic versions will be available with root beer instead of the real thing.
Just not sure, my husband thinks it might be very tasty but then again he also drinks clamato juice with beer.
Sounds good, better than the clamato (sssshiver)
OMG! Bacon, ice cream and BEER? The perfect man-food!
No thanks. I like them all but nothing tastes worse than a beer after eating ice crème. Turns my stomach!
