Tea Party being compared to KKK

Posted on 10/19/2013 6:30:25 AM PDT by Tennessee Conservative

Please excuse any mistakes but I'm new. I'm a member of a bicycling forum and they hate me for being a Conservative and a Tea Party supporter. The forum has a political section.

Last night there was a thread comparing the Tea Party to the KKK. I normally keep my mouth shut but the Tea Party hatred there was more than the norm. I reminded them that the Democrats were behind the founding of the KKK and provided links. One link was even from the Black Republican website. They called the KKK the terrorist arm of the Democrat party. Of course some of them started attacking me and stating that the Democrats and Republicans then have switched and the Republicans of now were actually the Democrats from then and on and on and on.

I'm a supporter of our local Tea Party and have never seen anything racist in the group or others that I have followed. They even have a Black member or two.

What is wrong with these people? Was I wrong or are they just severely warped? I'm going to leave that group because it is more infested with Liberals than I realized and it's only a matter of time before they make me mad enough to get banned anyway.

If I posted this incorrectly or in the wrong place, please tell me so that I know better next time.

People are idiots.

The tragedy is that they are too caught up in their ideology to realize that they are getting screwed.

Communist and Alinsky rules of agitprop and smearing the character of your opponents. Paint them as what they are not. Make sure to use the methods of the group you are accusing them to be, to do the smear.

Something to understand about liberals. It is called “projection” and is an Alinsky tactic. Liberals will call their opponents something that they are. It makes them feel good.

As we know, the Tea Party are Conservatives who believe in the Constitution. Liberals are from the radical left. So they call the Tea Party radicals. It is also why liberals insult Conservatives. The way to take down a liberal is to insult them. Projection..

Something libs don’t understand is Conservatives, especially those who are political wonks have read Rules for Radicals. It is required reading.

Tell them that Al Gore Sr. and J. William Fulbright (Clinton’s mentor) were Democrats that opposed passage of the civil rights bill.

Tell them that Orval Faubus, Lester Maddox, Bull Connor, and George Wallace were all Democrats. One of them stood in the schoolhouse door to prevent discrimination.

Tell them that abortion disproportionately kills blacks.

Tell them.

But you’ll probably have to find other people to ride bikes with.

BTW, Ann Coulter’s book Mugged is an excellent history of all this. Researched well and well endnoted. A must read.

Actually the GOPe does act like the kkk, but their actions are not racially motivated, their motive is to marginalize, defeat and destroy all those who desire the restoration of Free Republic.

They do this in cooperation with democrat kkk, the GOPe could not lead, they will not get out of the way, and they chose to follow.

I just wish that name calling like this didn’t make most of the right run around in circles. Make them acquiesce to all kinds of racial based crap.

It doesn’t matter if its true or not there is no convincing the current MSM, Politico’s, Marxist etc. It is a tactic and the only way to fight back is to ridicule it or better yet embrace it and bring it out in the open. You wanna talk bout race? Then let’s. They manipulate by doing so and most of the right instead of pushing back or telling them to FO spend their time trying to prove they are not ‘racist’( what ever they hell that even means) The right has to quit not only accommodating them but come out full force against all this racial crap . Why in the hell do we put up with the likes of the Black Caucus, NAACP and any other so called ‘civil rights’ organizations? We will lose it all if we don’t fight fire with fire.

Just the usual media and left wing tactic of vilifying the right.

These are people who feel inferior for good reason, but who are trying to convince themselves that they are losers because they are victims.

Obama encourages these fantasies, probably because his Black half still indulges in them himself, and because he can use them to further his vindictive goals.

Those he has indoctrinated into this pathetic ideology will die wondering why their lives amounted to nothing.

That is what I have been taught my entire life. All of the searches I have done to verify my facts turned up that yes, they were/are a Democrat organization from the beginning.

Obviously they don’t like to be faced with inconvenient truths and facts. It throws a wrench in their rewriting of history.

Thanks for the explanation and to the rest of you for your replies. One thing I have learned during the brief time I have been in that forum is that the best way to cause an explosion is to state the truth and back it up with facts that they have a difficult time explaining away.

I have never seen anything from other Tea Party supporters that makes them be what liberals claim them to be. I assume that they are very scared of the Tea Party? That is all I can come up with to explain the treatment we get.

Welcome to FR.

Concern trolling doesn’t last long here, however.

Here’s what I’d say.

First, I’d tell them that being KKK means you instantly judge someone based on some superficial factor - like race, religion, nationality, or even political affiliation - and then without any other evidence, and based SOLELY on your contempt for those which belong to a group that you hate, you not only dwell upon your hatred of that group, but also encourage others to as well. Naturally, what makes these KKK groups dangerous is that sometimes their rage goes beyond mere insults and name-calling when these groups lash out in violent attacks motivated by their blind hatred.

And then I’d add - but since I’m sure that you’re not engaging in this KKK kind of blind hatred of a group based on any of these superficial factors, perhaps you can give me some reasonable basis for why you hate me and the Tea Party.

FWIW, I despise cyclists.

Especially the ones with the gay-ly colored spandex outfits who block the highway because they are too good to stay in the bike lanes on skinny country roads...

Please tell me you don’t wear spandex and force people to risk head on collisions in order to avoid killing you on skinny country roads.

What they ‘know’ about the Tea Party they learned from Stuie Leibowitz, Bill Maher and Stephen Colbert. Ignore them - or challenge them to open their minds by attending a Tea Party event.

Tell them that the Republicans ended slavery. That is the main reason the party was formed.

99% of the democrats that were against blacks did not convert to the Republican party. It's a lie they promote to take advantage of their ignorant supporters.
