I said it before, and now I'm going to say it again: beards are so hot right now. Implants are a thing, and razor sale are down. And now, in breaking beard news, L.A. Dodgers relief pitcher Brian Wilson apparently turned down an offer of $1 million to shave his famous facial hair.
According to Esquire, 800razors.com offered Wilson that outrageous sum of money to shave his aggressive, probably-dyed beard; to which he responded, "I don't care how much money's on the table— nobody's cutting me!"
I don't think anyone should sell out for their hair (or facial hair) unless it's for a good cause, so I think Wilson made the right call here. Since I'm not a huge baseball follower, I can't really speak to his playing skills, but the guy is so famous for his beard— how could he really afford to get rid of it? With one million dollars? Not likely.
Clearly, athletes, actors, musicians and normal guys alike are having a moment for their hair. Facial and otherwise, it's all about beards, buns and even fancy updos. Now those are priceless.

I found a photo of him. It appears he may have significant scaring on his left cheek and face. Assuming he does, I’d guess he’d rather not have it exposed.
His post-game theatrics at this years last SF/Doggers series was a disappointment as well.
He’s ugly and he lost. Go St. Louis.

I don’t like the beards that so many MLB players have. A lot of these guys look like imams, and I really think they should consider how they look to their real fan base: kids.
Now that the dodgers are out if it, maybe he’ll reconsider?
He should have done it and given the money to a charity like Locks for Love. Then he could have grown the beard back. Kinda surprising...but his decision.

Nowadays, Phil Spector would pay a nickel (if he’s allowed to carry cash) for every joint Brian now smokes, congratulating himself for staying out of a filthy jail in his old age like Spector. An ignoble last act for a music production genius. My, how the tables have turned!
