I could be off a year or so but I am certain it was long before 1970.

“The whoppers I have bought at the burger king near me, indeed looks alot like the better one on the left. Not nearly as perfect looking, but damn close. I’ve NEVER seen a whopper that resembles anything like the one on the right.”

Same here. Usually the best burger for the money. We have Freddy’s, Five Guys, Smash, Carl’s, Red Robin, but I still prefer the good ol’ Whopper.

From my experience the best at actually delivering upon the pics are Whataburger, Chik-Fil-A, McDonald’s, and, Burger King. The worst? Carl’s Jr, Hardees, Jack in the Box, and, Wendy’s.

They all make things I like and don’t like and that’s perfectly fine. It’s all good.

The single worst fast food sandwich I ever saw was the Wendy’s “Baconator” from several years ago. It and the picture beared no resemblance to one another. It was a gooey mess swimming in grease and mounds of cheese. The bun was soaked through. There was not anywhere near the amount of bacon on the burger as was advertised in the pics. Pretty bad.

In the early 70’s, young and thoughtless was less likely to end you in a world of hurt.

When we went to Canada we went to Harvey’s, it blew McDonald’s away.

Once in a major city at about 2 am I turned a corner and walked into a gang brawl. I was surprised at them, and they were shocked to see me. I looked at them, put my hands out and then just walked through backpack and all. They were just stopped, chains dangling and I moved quickly. Young and thoughtless.

I took a weekend photography course put on by Nikon about 30 years ago. The guys who put it on ratted out a lot of tricks. Spraying mineral oil to simulate dew, using pre exposed film to add moons to the sky, and a Pulitzer winning photo of a poor child's teddy bear in the gutter after a tornado (they said the photographer had carried the toy around for years using it for a prop).

I am so glad I’m not a kid today.

Best to you, as always.
