I am losing my home on the 31st I have to be out or I can offer $300 for one more month... I'm 18 and just got out on my own, please pray that I can find the means to keep myself off the streets. Thank you and God bless.
This is kind of hard to say to someone in a tough spot but we have all gone through it.
God is wonderful but don’t wait for him to bail you out.
Take control over your life and change the things you can.
I was in nearly the same place for 3 years back in 1979 and I survived.
I had to donate plasma to have food to eat.
Get a good education in something which makes REAL $$$.
Don’t waste your time with Liberal Arts degrees no matter what the college.
Find one or two roommates.
Learn to live within your means.
Be careful out there as the world is becoming dangerous.
How would we have known that? I don’t go to everyone’s home page and snoop around.

I can’t help after going through my own battle with cancer I luckily won, but surely her mom can help.

Oh thanks for that. That helps explain why mom can’t help. What an awful situation all around. Prayers up....unfortunately that’s all I can do right now.

I would normally give the same advice. With Barack Obama in charge and homosexuals from E-1 to O-10, not so much. Does a community college, trade school or Job Corps site near you provide housing? Where are you? I can search around.
Most big cities have agencies and shelters that SPECIFICALLY work with homeless youth.
Most big towns also have day time shelters for youth and runaways where you can stay warm and dry, and off the street, and catch a free meal or two, and get referred to other agencies that can help you.
Also, talk to other kids on the street.
Often, they will be VERY WELL informed about the BEST assistance you can get.
One RED FLAG does come up when I hear a story like yours, though.
When an 18 year old like you can’t get help from Mom or Dad or Brothers or Sisters or Aunts and Uncles and cousins, or friends, that often means you have a drug or alcohol problem or a criminal record or a history of disruption or violence or family theft.
You may have to really suck it up and completely change your behavior before you can solve this problem.

She was pressured into moving out by a “friend” who promised to pay the expenses just for her to be there for comfort and companionship...now that person has turned their back on her and is kicking her out unless she can pay $300 a month, and she’s back in her wheelchair and unable to work...she has applied for disability, but you know how that goes...long-drawn out process!

From my earlier post, I will do what I can. I was a career counselor for many moons and something of a social worker, too.
That’s how she is currently living, but she has had to apply for disability as she is back in the wheelchair and unable to work...the person who talked her into moving out of my home promised to pay the expenses if she would move out and move with them...and now has turned their back on her and is forcing her out. If something is found soon, she will have to go to the city and live in the shelters or under a bridge in a tent. I’m worried, but I’m forbidden from letting her come home by my landlord
