What's the problem with unemployment hovering at 8% in this country when millions are out of work, haven't worked in years and unable to get a job today - why because the companies pushing Shamnesty, are happy to hire illegals and continue to do so!
Unless and until unemployment hits, say 5% (considered full employment) then and only then do we begin talking about granting some kind of legal status for others already here seeking employment, not before!
I wouldn't go that far to "grant" citizenship to people who enlisted in the Military because people can enter the Military with criminal records, especially in the Army.
It's one way to get away from bill collectors, paying child support, etc.
The 2005 "Shamnesty" attempt, also was happy to grant "amnesty" to people in prisons, criminals on the lam, and others with criminal records (besides continuously breaking into this country, which I personally consider criminal but I seem to be one of only a handful of people with this point of view.)
Nope, before I'd consider any kind of legalization, I'd rid our Congress of guys like Issa and others eager to grant amnesty of any kind.
