The website's super-busted, and is likely to remain that way for some time. But you know that already, and so does President Obama -- which is why he channeled the ShamWow guy during his surreal Obamacare pep rally earlier this week, pumping an 800-number as an alternative to the online exchanges. Operators are standing by, and all that. At least it's something, right? Well, the Washington Post's liberal Wonk Blog notices a small problem with Obama's old-fashioned Plan B. It doesn't work either:

Geez. Some people are apparently really dense. Since the inception of the “great(?) society”, for the most part, the gimmees have been counting on un-fulfilled promises. You would have thought someone might have caught on by now. And yet there are more EBT cards and govt supplied cell phones than ever. Plus installing “free” internet access to the whole country. In some places even “free” computers. Free housing, free schooling, free gas, free electricty. WTH did I work for all those years? Should be 1-800 SCAM WOW!

In point of fact, the gimme entitlements aren't smart enough to be counting on anything but a continued check for their vote. They are even smart enough to fill out their own tax forms (for their EITC), or their applications for that ObamaPhone, nor any of the rest you cite. They aren't even smart enough to hold down a job that any employer counts as necessary for their continuance.
I love how the Obamacare commercials are telling people to sign up on their broken system.

A comment. No doubt they are experts at the things you noted. Too bad they don’t have the same drive to contribute instead of taking. I’ve known a few that play the game and once they have it down it’s easy as pie. And they have no remorse about it either.
You’re right....I see them almost every day at Walmart with their EBT cards buying things (food) at which I can only marvel at the price and pass by.
They never go the store before 11:00 or 12 in the morning because getting up so early upsets them. They whip out that card like they have a Visa or Amex and all’s right with the world for them.
LOL! Apparently at the two wal-marts in Louisiana during the “snafu”, they did have AMEX no set limit black cards for a few hours. Now king hussein has one since there’s no debt ceiling. Guess my next move will be to max out the CC’s and open some new ones. When the bills come due, I can just fwd them to 1600 Penn. Ave., D.C.
