How Can HHS (Sebelius) Extend The ObamaCare Enrollment Deadline? It Is The Law Of the Land, Right?

Unilaterally extend... right?

Obama/Sebelius/White House plucking ObamaCare petals off of the ObamaCare flower:

It is the law of the land...it is not the law of the land...law of the land...not the law of the land...

It's good to be King!

PING lists ALERT !

It time for us FReepers to request that Senators Cruz (TEXAS) and Lee (Utah), and Rep. Barton (TEXAS) file an INJUNCTION with Justice Scalia of the SCOTUS for a one year and one month delay of further implementation of the failed Mandatory Insurance Tax Federal Law commonly called Obama’care !’

BTW, Rep. Barton in a House hearing, yesterday, stated that HIPPA Federal Law is violated by the no privacy policy of The Mandatory Insurance Tax Federal Law commonly called Obama’care.’

If we are to continue to be a “Nation of Laws,” then this Legal conflict requires resolution by the SCOTUS.

it’s only law when the big eared little boy king decides....which in itself should be grounds for impeachment.

Unfortunately, there are dozens and dozens of citations in the law that state “....at the HHS Director’s discretion.”

My guess is that if this is determined to be an unavoidable option, she will use one of these instances to put forth some bullsh!t explanation that will deter any real legal resistance.

Can we, the people, decide that we will ignore the individual mandate for... ever?

I would say this...there are a number of pieces tied to the mandate and 1 Jan deadline. Merely taking this one item and extending for a year...doesn’t address the other pieces and their connections to the 1 Jan date.

I think this is the main reason why the President didn’t take up the chat during October gov’t closure. And the same reason why they can’t openly talk about numbers or failures of the platform.

Right now, I doubt if the platform can be rigged to work completely for at least six months. Tied to that, they already admit that they need to start on version 2 asap...because this platform is dated for the 2003/2004 era (yeah, it was kinda obsolete...maybe accidentally or intentionally).

The HHS chief doesn’t have the clout to change dates. The President could issue an executive order....but he’d have to rattle off sixteen other episodes affected as well, and I don’t think he wants that to be common knowledge for the public.

It’s like delivering a Chrysler that you ordered....without the engine, and promising it will work in six months, then finding out that the brake pads are missing too, and that the fuel gauge isn’t working right either. Would you accept such a Chrysler?

It just comes down to whatever Queen ValJar and King BamBam decree. Checks and balances be damned.

Maybe we should all dress up as bloodied and bruised Minions for Halloween?

Closer to the truth that anyone will admit.

Once upon a time it was:

"Stroke of the pen. Law of the land. Kinda cool"

Those were the good old days. Now we have:

"Don't need a pen. I am the law. Extremely cool"
