Dems New Mantra: "It's OK to lie. You need coverage that gives you adequate healthcare."

I am so tired of the new Democrat argument that you can keep your insurance coverage "Unless you have coverage that's insufficient to accomplish the objectives of giving you adequate, quality healthcare." (Rep. Hoyer) Who the hell are they to decide what that coverage should be? I do not need to pay for Sandra Fluke's contraceptives! I do not need to pay for maternity care! I do not need to pay for pregnancy testing, substance abuse, or pediatric care. I have no children. Pre-existing conditions? There are other, simpler ways to tackle that. Psychiatric care? Well, maybe. Let me think about it. Preventative medicine? I am already in a health management program that I pay for! But, the worst thing is the arrogance. Big Brother knows what's good for you. You, the citizen, are too stupid to figure it out for yourself. The insurance companies are evil, blah blah blah. I'm sick of it!

It’s simple (to tell people): Do you like Obamacare? (No, is the most likely answer), Then: VOTE REPUBLICAN (R E P E A L !),

If you like Government Control, increased prices, and loss of choice: Vote DEMOCRAT!

It’s that SIMPLE!

You’d be hard pressed to find a leftist that didn’t think it was OK to lie to advance their “cause”.

Psychiatric services will result in a one for one. One visit to the psychiatrist and your $15 copay = one loss of your right to own a gun. If you make a fuss, you’ll lose your kids too.

Go with the flow, Chips. Let us decide what you will like. Give up all hope of self determination, and you will see how happy you can be!

This is so stupid I can’t understand why even the HHS did it...except for one reason. Money.

Suppose a 60 year-old female today has insurance that she likes and pays $350 a month for. Forcing that policy to be cancelled will require her to buy Obamacare at, let’s say $900 per month under the guise of “adequate coverage”. Such as pregnancy....

The only answer I come back to is they’re forcing people out of their present insurance in order to get them to pay more - MUCH more - for Obamacare.

If one of “us” had been given the ability to make Obama into a liar, what better way could we have chosen?

I am clearly beginning to see who the real winners are in this debacle. The insurance companies really made Obama look like the inexperienced moron he is. They are laughing all the way to the bank.

Unfortunately, given the failure of the GOP to defund obamacare which they certainly could have done, I do not think there is any point in voting republican if you want to see the end of obamacare. The GOP is done.

>>The only answer I come back to is they’re forcing people out of their present insurance in order to get them to pay more - MUCH more - for Obamacare.

The goal—the ONLY goal—is Single Payer. Americans like to think they’re in charge. Almost half even like to pay their own way through life.

So, Single Payer is just not feasible in the US.

UNLESS, you create a bloated, overpriced insurance system that we can blame on Big Insurance. Obama is even willing to look stupid to make this happen. After all, once we are communists, his people can rewrite history, purge the internet, and re-educate anyone who fails to get with the program!

So, in the end, ObamaCare fails, but everyone has been kicked off their old plan by then. It becomes a giant entitlement program and the people who work for a living will even complain, “why do I have to pay for this?”

Then, the Congress will step up and vote to fix it, by taking those evil insurance companies out of the loop and we’ll just...umm...let government handle it all.

He’s not incompetent!! He’s a f___g COMMUNIST! And he’s winning.

A way to put the whole thing in perspective......tell them. For less than half of what the government spent on a non-functioning website they could have sent all 330 million of us a check for $1 million. I think that’s enough to cover healthcare for all for a very long time.

Let me get this straight...

The holy grail of these folks is the "Freedom of Choice" but, G-D forbid they give us the Freedom to choose...

* What State we buy our healthcare policy out of.
* What kind of policy I want, High deductible, HSA, etc etc
* What bells and Whistles I want in it, Vision, Dental, Birth etc. etc.
* To choose to pay for Birth Control or Abortions...

Oh we have freedom how and when they define it, and if we don't like it, it is basically SHUT UP AND TAKE IT.

Instead we have to buy basically one size fits all with the only changes being the deductible. I guess Statism only comes in a few shades of gray....

The liberal intellectual snob types, in particular, will defend the fact that “normal people” are not smart enough to make decisions, such as what kind of insurance to buy, on their own.

But the insurance companies have some new requirements about having to pay a certain percent of their revenues out in claims or “heatlh care”, so I think they are under tight reins about the ability to make any profits under the new deal.

Obamacare also dictates to the insurance companies that 85% of premiums be spent on health care. So they have 15% for overhead that they may or may not be able to squeeze any profit from.

The whole thing is designed to fail while bankrupting the health insurance industry.

So we can be “saved” through the institution of a single payer system (everyone on medicaid/medicare). One sixth of the economy socialized and government pwned.

Community based healthcare outreach grants coughed up by Aetna, Blue Cross, Kaiser, etc.... payable to ACORN and Planned Parenthood will count as the 85 % of their revenues spent on healthcare.

Let's not all be that stupid.

My take away is like I said in post #17. This whole thing is designed as a political mega-bank which will use insurance companies as bagmen making political donations to progressive groups who will have a branch that has some remote connection to community based healthcare servicing in order to launder the money as required by the Affordable Care Act of 2010.

Anything to get that number down to 85% of premiums collected.
