I don't believe it because it's likely an urban myth.

mrs p6, who has won top prize at her work at least two years in a row, is going as TV Horror host Svengoolie. Last year she and two other went as rub-a-dub-dub, three men in a tub. Two years ago it she was a home aquarian deep sea diver with helmet, circling clown fish and a treasure chest that when opened blew bubbles.

She was going to go as a head on a bbq grill but she decided to give co workers a chance. The prizes are great including at least a hundred dollars, appliances and gift certificates.

Her company does halloween week with a different theme each day. Monday wwas decorate yourr area day, Tuesday was go as a celebrity day - she went as Julia Childs, today was cowboy day do she spent last night andd this morning going through all my clothes and stuff.

I put out a pumpkin bucket filled with candy. The sign on the bucket says take one and only one. When it’s gone it’s gone.

Haven’t run out of candy in 7 years.

Eating beets can turn your pee red, so maybe he plays a little Halloween gag on his parents by making them think he’s got blood in his urine.

Well, it has happened in my neck of the woods. These days though it’s not satanists, but rather, gangstas from the ‘hood looking for small pets to bait their fighting dogs.

I try to celebrate Halloween but I'm getting real tired of being harassed by the jack booted thugs.

That seems more likely, or just some punk kid thinking it's cool to abuse animals.
In my neck of the woods, the only cats being sacrified are Kit Kats.

We live in the country at the end of a somewhat long driveway....we’ve never had a single trick or treater since we moved here in 1997. :(

My husband contrasts it to his childhood in a subdivision just down the road from here. They got so many trick-or-treaters that his stepdad ran out of candy and had to resort to Beanie-Weenies and the little lunchbox sized Doritos. After THAT, he started throwing money into the kids’ bags, then said, “To hell with it”, turned off the lights and went to bed, LOL.

If SyFy is running a bad movie, we might check it out.

It's no urban myth. Pets are much safer kept inside on Halloween.

Just like the last three or four years, we will give out CANDY to the kids and POCKET CONSTITUTIONS to the parents and teenagers!

We're out in the country...so no trick or treater's, here.

In our old neighborhood, kids would be dropped off by the truckloads, from other areas of town. We'd run out of candy pretty early (it got worse by the year), and we'd just make sure pets were in, turn out the front porch light and all front room lights and watch a movie in the back room. It was amazing that the bell would still ring, hours later...at a "not home" house!

Haven't missed that one bit.
