Vice President Joe Biden joined the president and Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius in apologizing for the Obamacare enrollment site, saying he and President Barack Obama are not technology geeks.
Neither he and I are technology geeks, and we assumed that it was up and ready to run, Biden said in an interview with HLN on Wednesday.

No, your commies not Geeks.
Pray America will wake up
One thing about leftists,
they inherently believe that an expert at one thing
can be authoritative on everything else about which they pontificate.
Just look at those who pretend to be something else (actors),
and the idea that we give them ANY credibility when they speak
about social issues, the environment, etc.
If they really want the “best and the brightest” techie/science expert/obamacare supporter to fix the system; then why don’t the draft Al Gore to come in and rewrite the code. Al Gore invented the internet. He is also a leading science expert in the rat party. Let’s have someone that really knows what they are doing to fix this. (Major Sarc)
Unilaterally granting waivers to a law passed by Congress, to benefit you friends and supporters is UNCONSTITUTIONAL!!!
Neither he and I are technology geeks, and we assumed that it was up and ready to run, Biden said...
If assumption is the mother of all F-ups, Biden & 0bama must be its gay, co-habitating fathers.
In 2008 Obama was called the most tech savvy President of all time.
Now he is so inept he can’t sign up for Obamacare?
How I wish the MSM did their jobs.
How I wish the DOJ would do its job and arrest those two commie pinheads.
Eric Holder arrest those two?
“tech savvy” was an excuse to keep his “pocket prompter” on him and not subject to recording.
It’s what his masters use to communicate with him.
One can dream...
It’d have to be one of those alternate-universe Eric Holders.
Neither he and I are technology geeks, and we assumed that it was up and ready to run,
Gosh and the idiots that voted for you assumed you were presidential and vice-presidential...they assumed that you were up and ready to represent the whole United States of America, not just the takers, the homosexuals, the blame America firsters, and the illegals...but you know what they say about assuming.
Good managers and experienced people don't assume. They probe and sense when things are not quite right. I've worked for people who were very weak on technical skills but they knew they what they didn't know and asked lots of questions before making decisions.
Obama, Biden and Sebelius are not managers. They are rank politicians who are only concerned with optics, power, and polling.
I assume “rank” in terms of odor?
“we assumed that it was up and ready to run”
ObamaCare is this administration’s signature program. What “executives” on Earth other than Obama and Biden would not have asked subordinates for a run-through?
It is chilling to realize that the “leaders of the free world” are that incompetent, incurious, disengaged, and arrogant.
In studying the Bolshevik Revolution and the total collapse of the Russian economy and society in its aftermath, I am astounded by the magnitude of ignorance and arrogance of “leaders” enthralled by ideology. Risk the lives and health of millions on untried schemes? Sure, it’s only YOUR life at risk — they take care of themselves.
Pray America will wake up
That wake up will come about only after the inevitable economic calamity occurs and everyone gets badly hurt. The long national spend-a-thon is simply unsustainable. Most know it, but nobody is willing to do anything about it.
“Just look at those who pretend to be something else (actors)”
Frauds would be a better term. The greatest POTUS of my lifetime was first a actor :) I do not need to elaborate.
“Neither he and I are technology geeks”? Seriously? Biden actually said that? Where are the grammar nazis from the media that went after Dan Quayle with a vengeance?
Then why the hell did you and the big guy give orders about how the website was to be designed?
Yes, that’s what I meant. Disgusting politicians.
But ‘base’ would have been a more approriate word perhaps.
Carnegie said he had only one real talent. He was able to figure out which men were better at something than he was. He then recruited them and delegated the necessary authority to them.
A manager/leader cannot be and does not need to be an expert in every field. But he does need to be able to figure out which people working for him are able to handle a job, give them an objective and then delegate the authority to reach it.
I guess the fact that it wasn't did not qualify as a "big f'n deal"...
Delegate, yes, but challenge your managers with probing questions. Its easy for me to see what’s right with a project; what’s often not so easy is being able to identify and mitigate against potential pitfalls. You want to know what things could go wrong and that’s largely what you need expertise for. Keep the project out of trouble.
If they fail, you fail.
Churchill and Roosevelt they ain’t.
Back in 08, the MSM told us Caliph Baraq was the hippest techno guy in govt....
If that day ever happens, don't say, “I have no idea what to do in this war, I'm no dogface.” Shirking your responsibility won't cut it. No more than your administration purposely causing the websites to fail so that we will all be stuck with the Stalinesque single payer plan.
Millions will die if Obamacare is put into place as the Socialists desire. It doesn't bother them becuase the hero of the Socialists and Progressives said,
“The death of one man is a tragedy, the death of millions is a statistic”
Agreed, but my point was that none of this requires true expertise in the technicalities of the project. Although it is of course very useful if you have it.
An autobiography I read of a British officer during WWII (reaching brigadier) referred to his primary job as man management. In his opinion there was little difference in that aspect of the job whether it was a brigade or a corporate division. Management techniques differ of course, but the main issue of managing people towards a desired goal is the same.
Their ends always justify their means. And when their end results are catastrophic, one must assume their means were even worse.
To your point, from a management standpoint it can indeed be a negative to be too steeped in a technical discipline. In my experience, people like that often get lost in the weeds and have a tendency toward micro-management.
Joe Biden: President Obama and I not tech geeks True, they are just geeks!
