MCLEAN, Va.,- A Virginia cocoa extract supplement company said its survey of members of the baby boomer generation indicates 63 percent feel younger than their age.

The CocoaVia National Healthy Aging Outlook Survey, conducted online by Toluna on half of Cocoavia, owned by Mars Inc. of McLean, Va., found 63 percent of the 2,200 adults ages 40-to-65 felt an average of 13 years younger than their age.

The Sept. 22-27 poll indicated 13 percent of women in the boomer generation feel 30 years old or younger.

The survey indicates 68 percent of boomers are enjoying the current phase of their lives and 78 percent described themselves as healthy.

CocoaVia did not release a margin of error for the survey.

A nice imagine but it just isn’t in the cards for this life. A little break from this mess would be really nice though.

Yes, we have been compromising and sliding for the better part of a hundred years. Most of it seems to have been the last 50 or 60 though. It is our turn for the Crisis of this Secula. (The Fourth Turning)

This is me from a couple years ago:

I'm 60 now, but look about the same. Nobody can believe I'm that old.

Whatever happened to that brokebackridge dude that used to regularly flame Boomers?

He get the Zot? Sure should have, seemed to be here only to pick arguments and hate on other FReepers, Boomers in particular.

Yep you don’t look 60 or 50, its in the genes, my whole family looks younger than our ages, drank/smoked most of my life, so I know its genes not bad habits.

Probably that accounts for their behavior as well, and those on the left can’t claim to be intellectually or morally more than 13 years *old*.

Can you imagine what Henry Waxman's portrait looks like?

It’s all about how you want to live your life.

People tell me they think I’m between 7-10 years younger than I actually am. I could probably push it further if I didn’t love fine Bourbon so much.

I work with a guy in his 70s who has been with the company for 50 years. He could pass for being in his mid 50s.

But, there are people younger than I am who seem like senior citizens. They creak when they walk and can barely function. They fight against technology, moan about their pains and live sad lives.

My goal is to live life to the fullest and drop dead one day after partying with girls half my age. Luckily, this is legal, if not ethical.

...and you can call me a dirty old man. I don’t care.

Amen to that (not smoking and drinking little) though I know some others with similar limits on alcohol and no tobacco but they look every day their chronological age!

I can pass for at least 15 or 18 years younger and I always claim picking the right parents and grandparents, is the key!

Being content with one's life and loving God and others helps drive those lines away too!
