ALCON - FYI, the Air Force servers are back to not letting me log in to FR due to its "political and activist" nature. I thought we were through with this crap...
It’s going to get worse before it gets better:(
Bet you can log in to the CPUSA.org website or the White House.gov website - but I repeat myself...
Complain to the USAF.
Yikes. Can you get into DU or the like?
“Oldthinkers doubleplus unbellyfeel Obamasoc.”
the Air Force seems to have been particularly coopted by the leftist posy sniffing anti-religion radicals in the soetero regime
Pretty common occurrence. I can’t send links at FR to many of my friend’s work computers.
They use Websense?
Thanks for this post. I work for a federal agency (software Dev). FR isn’t blocked here, but I think I’ll start getting used to it. (Use on my own mobile devicea on such) Don’t know what the AF “by-laws” are but I but they contain clauses like “limited personal use” and “no expectation of privacy”.
That will do no good. This is what you get when they make an asshole like UpChuck Hagel the SecDef. He cares not about the rights of anyone and will toe the obama/democrat line for his own personal gain and to move forward.
He is a “served in VN” along the lines of John Kerrey who as an enlisted troop along with his brother. He didn’t like the war or the Army too much then and assumes that the enlisted troops of today share those old attitudes and are with him all the way. He actually doesn’t seem to care for anyone in the military very much.
cant you just bring your own portable modem?
Maybe we need to develop a “cut-out” site that would pose as a leftist leaning page that praises the ‘o’ and then buried deep on the page is a forwarding link to FR but doesn’t change the URL.
Frankly, it should always be a surprise when able to get to FR from a DoD computer. That should (not sure it does) also include the likes of DU, and any soros/bloomberg sponsored site.
The point is, signing on the line to serve in the Armed Forces, abrogates a number of the freedoms guaranteed in the Bill of Rights. Self subjugation under a worthwhile system of authority.
Not saying that the Air Force hasn’t gone down the PC road a bit farther and faster than say the Army, Marine Corps, or the Navy but wearing the uniform means complaining can be grounds for discipline. Not like we could go on strike.....
Mine on Mozilla / Yahoo are rejecting FR as well!
I’m curious if the following groups’ sites are accessible:
I’m sure there are others worth comparing.
A government computer is the last place I’d be browsing FR, let alone logging on.
It's a tunneling proxy that makes the destination website think you're coming from somewhere else, and the outgoing signal (that's blocking your FR access) will let it pass.
Give it a shot.
Using a proxy from an Air Force computer is a huge no no.
The AF is biggest bunch of pussies in the armed forces therefore, EVERYTHING good is a No-No.
LOg on google, then search and click on link, it works!!
It’s true. Hubby in Afghanistan, says FR is designated a hate site and is blocked. Go figure.
Since clearly my coffee-spew winning one-liners are an imminent threat to National Security...
Or any fag website
Using a modem on a networked gummint ‘puter is a hanging ofense.
Air Farce strikes again!
How about Daily KOS?
What, you've never seen Top Gun?!
Painting with kind of a broad brush there, dontcha think?
I worked with the enlisted and officers of each armed forces, to include the Coast Guard for at least two years each in the field, combat zones and in garrison. I am a former marine myself and I can tell you the Air Force is definitely a bunch of wimps compared to the army and marines with navy a close second to the AF. When I was with the Coasties in Mobile I couldn’t put my finger on what I was experiencing there for about three months until I finally realized EVERYONE was happy to be doing what they were doing and no one ever argued about anything. If ya got a kid, put them in the CG. Good people. AF, not. Sorry.
Well, I certainly think (at least I hope) that I'm "good people", and I've certainly worked with some dedicated, decent people during my 16.5 years (and counting) in the Air Force.
Have thousands of hours over the skies of Iraq and Afghanistan as aircrew, working side by side with both Officer and Enlisted.
I've worked with Marines, Army, and Navy personnel. Don't have a bad thing to say about any of the other branches. Yes, they have different ways of doing things, but they are all American volunteers who have sworn an oath to the Constitution.
I’m not doubting you, just my personal assessment when comparing servicemen and woman. And since the purpose of the military is to “Kill People & Break Things”, the AF fails miserable. They act like State Dept. Reps who are only good at coddling while looking for a gun, any gun to stand next to for a photo shoot so as to impress the folks back home into thinking they REALLY ARE trigger pullers. What a laugh!
