That’s how it is here. We have a vibrant Orthodox community, but a bigger American Liberal community.

Even if i were not in Phila for a weekend with the inlaws this past weekend, i would not have seen it bc i am NOT watching anything political. As it is my stomach is in knots today over the VA election and i know i am very likely to be disappointed once again.

Do not pay much attention to twitter these days either.
Call me whatever but i think pushing for such a ban weakens the brand and expends a lot of useless energy. We need to make the case for a grown up view of the role of gov’t and spending/entitlements. Couched in a laissez faire philosophy.
Graham is just trying to act bona fide for the rubes. This will turn off a lot of people, right or wrong. It’s just a bad idea.
We need to reform health care in a market way but won’t be able to if the “they wany to ban birth control and abortion” crowd is given merit.
Texas my have it, but America isn’t Texas. We need to win hearts and minds, not present the party as banners.

Maybe. Maybe not.
But the argument over basic humanity, is not something to be taken lightly.
Neither is it to be used just to win an election and actually set the cause back overall.
Once you raise the issue, it transcends the election.
