The Sandinista supporter who married a former lesbian and rose through the political..

Bill De Blasio, the first Democrat elected mayor of New York City in a generation, is a Massachusetts-raised former supporter of the communist Sandinistas who married a lesbian poet.

And he's a lifelong Boston Red Sox fan.

De Blasio's path to becoming the leader of America's largest city was unorthodox - especially compared with his Democratic predecessors.

He rose up the ranks of Democratic politics. He worked as a junior aide to the last Democratic mayor, David Dinkins. He served in the Clinton Administration and ran Hillary Clinton's 2000 bid for the U.S. Senate. He served three years as a Democrat on the City Council.

But he is not necessarily a product of the party political machine like previous Democratic mayors - in part because that machinery no longer exists in the way it once did.

His real name is Warren Wilhelm.

Whoever won the Democrat primary was going to win the NYC mayoralty.

The NYC GOP had no well-known candidates.

Wilhelm, ahem, DiBlasio played the best demographic game of the very broad Democrat field during the primary.

No one wants to mention, however, the one demographic he could not get any traction with.

The best line in that article:

“De Blasio was born Warren Wilhelm, Jr. in Manhattan in to an Italian-American mother and a German American father. For reasons unknown, he has always gone by Bill.”

A Prediction:
The same progressive NYers who put Dinkins in power then dropped him in 4 years for Giuliani after ‘Holders people’ started beating up and killing said progressives will do the same in 4 years to DiBlassio.

Mark my words.

At this point, the rats could nominate Hitler and he would be elected in CA, NY, MA, and wherever else they have destroyed the middle class.

McCray will, indeed, be different the the other spouses who have lived in Gracie Mansion. For starters, she's a black former lesbian.

Funny, I thought the PC science-view was the one's sexual orientation is fixed. Gays can't change their behavior, habits or desires, and certainly, gay-conversion therapy is completely wrong.

So I guess gays CAN change?

Women are huggy touchy feely kissy with each other. Not a stretch for them to be bisexual. Guys on the other hand are none of these things unless they are queer to begn with.

Muslim terrorists around the world are celebrating. There is nothing that they like as much as weakness on the part of their enemies.

I predict a major terrorist attack on NYC within the first year of this idiot's administration because the Muzzies will sense his weakness, his ineptitude and his own hatred for America.

Erie county in upstate, which includes Buffalo, was swept by the Reps. Nassau county next to NYC re-elected the incumbent Rep.by 20 points, but keep the generalizations coming.

Wow, it appears that New Yorkers, in their infinite wisdom, have voted in the David Dinkins era redux.

Better them than me and mine. It might be a good time to begin planning an exit from New York for those of you who are NY residents.

They’re coming for your wallet, Wall St. And it serves you right, having given protection to the shake-down artist in the White Hut, that now the local Communist will take your cash to give to those who have their vote for sale. Losers.

You are right. I meant to say, places like NYC, San Fran, and even LA. That is, where the democrats have such majorities and their voters tend to vote D no matter who is on the ballot.

I feel for you. I have lived in areas where I am literally surrounded by liberals. Not at your scale, but still. It is amazing to see them justify themselves. Especially when they try to make themselves sound smarter than they truly are.
