WASHINGTON — The chairwoman of the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on the Middle East and North Africa said if the White House doesn’t address the growing scourge of al-Qaeda-affiliated terrorists flourishing in North Africa, America will soon see its interests coming under attack from the likes of Al-Shabaab, Boko Haram and Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb.

Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-Fla.), also past chairwoman of the full committee, said the shortsighted policy stems from President Obama’s “false narrative that al-Qaeda is decimated and on the run.”

Well Ms. Ross-Lehtinen, you obviously weren't listening because I remember that the "lyin' king" stated quite clearly that the war on terror was over. Period. And if you like your CO2, you can keep it. Period. Or "if you legislators don't do what I want, uh, I mean work with me, I may have to issue EO's to get my way, uh, make things better for all Americans. Yeah, that's it." (Didn't one of those groups do "Whiter Shade of Pale"?)

She also doesn’t seem to appreciate that under the current Press dent, America hasn’t just surrendered in the WOT — it has changed sides.

AQ is running the country and owns the President. Yes, you’re a long way from beating them.

Al-Qaeda was the creation of the CIA. AFIK it still belongs to them.

Uh, I seem to remember “us” supporting the mujahadeen (sp) back in the 80’s when the russkies were in town. Hmmm. We supplied them with shoulder fired rockets that were later used against “us”. So, sounds like arming up the Syrian “rebels” is a really great idea. Period. Uh, maybe not.

You are correct. Alfa Kayda was started by the CIA to fight the Ruskies when they invaded Afghanistan in December of 1979.

And they are being once again used by the CIA to try and overthrow Syria. I’m sure they were used in the other Arab Spring uprisings, also.

You have to remember that Fedzilla is also best buds with the Islamo-Nazi organization Muslim Brotherhood who has also been used in the Arab Spring ops.

Ah yes. Lies, subterfuge, deceit, obsfucation(sp?). Nothing new for the “lyin’king” and his minions. And sadly, it doesn’t seem to matter who’s in charge of the country. The “hole” Benghazi thing stinks of the same crap going on and the admin not wanting to be caught with their panties down. But hey, “What difference does it make at this point?” Sad state of affairs.

I wonder where she and others were when he first posited that terrorism had been defeated...
