Former Arizona Congresswoman Gabby Giffords is teaming up with Sandy Hook mother Nicole Hockley to push gun control on the first anniversary of the heinous crime at Sandy Hook Elementary.

The crime took place on December 14, 2012, and beginning on November 14, 2013, Giffords and Hockley are encouraging schools to talk to students about "gun violence."

According to The Sacremento Bee, Giffords and Hockley are asking teachers to talk to K-12 students about "[responding] to tragedies like Newtown and working to prevent them from happening in the future."

Idiots. The problem is not guns. It’s individuals whose ‘value system’ allows them to murder people.

This is thanks to liberalism, which destroys peoples’ value systems and replaces them with hedonism, materialism and opportunism.

Of course they won’t be there. For one, they’ve been outed. Second, they proved to be unbelievably bad at their “jobs”.

For the life of me I can’t believe how many people have been and continue to be bamboozled by these people. The evidence is right in front of their faces, but they refuse to see.

Sort of like liberals refusing to see how evil and full of crap Barry is.

My mother and father both died in their sleep. Do you know how many people die in their sleep? I wonder if I could make a living off of banning sleep?

There can NEVER be any Law or Regulation that guarantees that a bad situation “WILL NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN.”

Thus, we have jails and lethal injections to house, or remove from the gene pool the perps who cause harm in our Society.

Evil is a known factor in the Human Condition, I’m sad to say.

Until the PC mentality of absolute faith in passing a “Law” to prevent bad things from happening, we will always have the good-intentioned resisting the old method of Crime and Punishment that has existed from the beginning of bipedal motion by humanoids. DUH!

Celebrating the anniversary is just another way of saying ‘keeping it going’. Have you noticed that talking about these shootings causes another one?
I had a friend who worked for Septa here in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His job was to manage all aspects of when a suicidal person jumped in front of an El train, from the clean up to what reached the press. He told me that when they had a jumper, they tried desparately to keep it from the press. He said when they got a hold of it, within a week, they would expect another.
Something excites the goofballs about reading about these incidents. They daydream about it and react to it.

The 40th anniversary of Bill Ayers’ bombing of the Pentagon last year (an election year for one of Billy’s buddies) didn’t even get a columnist mention.

I don’t care to see the other anniversaries marked in the media.

How about control of these weapons?

One of these a 2 foot section was used to beat my 16 year old innocent child to death, so some sociopath could get his jollies to see what it felt like to kill. Jeremy was just 12 years old mentally and physically, still sitting on the floor playing with GI Joes and Hot Wheels.

His killer now walks the streets of TN a free man after a bad plea deal, 1st degree down to 2nd, and the medium not the max time he could have received served. And I had to fight for every day he served. Starting 10 months after he was sentenced. Took 2 years to get to that plea deal, and 6 parole hearings to keep him in prison until he maxed out his 'bad behavior' days. Because even in prison he was not a good person.

Then there is 8 year old Nicki Read, she was raped, strangled with her own shoe lace and thrown in the river. Her killer even pretended to hunt for her. He has been on TN Death Row approaching 2 decades, and no end in sight of both state and federal appeals.

I'll keep my revolver and my 12 gauge thank you!

When the first gun control law was passed that USSC should have shot it down as UNCONSTITUTIONAL and we would not have to keep going through this argument on what 2nd A rights are.

Technically speaking NO gun law is CONSTITUTIONAL!

McVeigh was the last mass murderer thatthe feds have put to death, that alone speaks volumes about the perverted INJUSTICE system in this country.

I am so sorry for your loss. The asshats just never get it (well “they” do) and the fools/tools they use are just props who “believe” they are doing the right thing because it makes them “feel” better cause they’re “doing” something. My former neighbor in Florida had a sister murdered years ago and every couple of years she has to re-live the whole ordeal to try to keep the killer locked up when his parole hearing comes around again. Pretty friggin’ sad. Keep ‘em locked and loaded.

Thanks, I threw myself into the victims rights movement that had just become ripe at the time. TN now has CONSTITUTIONAL laws for crime victims, and we have a way to protest via video or tape instead of traveling to the prison site for the parole hearings. Tell her to put pressure on the state legislature to have parole hearings set for at least 6 years or more apart for violent crimes. We did that in TN and got it. We also bounced one of the State Supreme Court Justices as being boldly anti-death penalty and nearly got a second one, only he as a minority hollered RACISIM, when it was his anti-death penalty stance we were going after. When victims ban together there is a lot they can get done.

Parents of Murdered Children and Citizens Against Homicide are to great orgs that help fight parole hearings.

If we moved to public hanging of killers, with in a reasonable time frame, you would see less murders committed.

In the old west they shot horse thieves, why not do the same for car thieves, same principal applies to a horse as does a car it is your mode of transportation.

Thanks again. It was kind of crushing to see the pain in our neighbors eyes whenever this reared it’s ugly head every few years. But it was also very uplifting to know she had the willpower to go and help keep this miscreant pos in jail where he belonged. Possibly FL now has a video set up to help keep folks from having to travel long distances for the hearings.
