Most scientists would probably say that the concept of an afterlife is either nonsense, or at the very least unprovable. Yet one expert claims he has evidence to confirm an existence beyond the graveand it lies in quantum physics. Professor Robert Lanza claims the theory of biocentrism teaches that death as we know it is an illusion created by our consciousness.
Biocentrism is classed as the theory of everything and comes from the Greek for life center. It is the believe that life and biology are central to reality and that life creates the universe, not the other way (a)round. This suggests a persons consciousness determines the shape and size of objects in the universe.

Is there a list of the most convincing articles and write ups offering scientific proof of heaven? For various reasons I have been interested in amassing a collection of as much info as possible about attempts to proof, on a scientific level of some sort, that heaven exists and that there is an afterlife of sorts?
The Creature lacks the faculties to judge the Creator.
One of the best books I have read on the subject is “Evidence of the Afterlife: the Science of Near Death Experiences” by Jeffrey Long and Paul Perry. They make a very convincing case.
Quantum theory is fascinating and supports many spiritual ideas.
G_d must be smiling.
The conclusion seems to be a leap. It implies pantheism by saying we ‘return to the universe in bloom’. There appears to be no reason to think this.
What this does point towards is the independence and power of the mind (read: soul). It is much more than just electrical signals passing through the brain matter.
And if minds can be independent from physical reality, then God is far from impossibility as this man’s colleagues and the majority of commenters on the article no doubt like to believe
If we had proof of the existence of heaven, and thus of God, this would remove our free choice as effectively as if God prevented us from doing evil. You may see clues from time to time, but you will have no proof. God wants ux to come to him as free creatures, out of love, not because proof compels us to believe.
I suppose so, I am coming to God now but I have periodically recurring doubts and insecurities because I haven’t figured out why He waits so long to intervene in so many lives and why he doesn’t intervene in everyone’s lives form birth.
“Faith is when you believe in something nobody in their right mind would believe in.” - Archie Bunker
It’s an interesting theory but I’m not seeing any actual evidence for it.
I believe in the afterlife but this is science, where is the empirical evidence for this theory?
You don’t need quantum physics to prove that there is a heaven and a hell and that we were created by God. A few hours reading the Bible is all they need.
“He waits so long to intervene in so many lives and why he doesnt intervene in everyones lives form birth.”
But he does...
You need to study Angels and what their job is.. they are relentless.
Not with me, he didn’t. I feel He did try a couple years ago but He was not there 10 or 15 years ago. Not for me, anyway.
First, God created us to have free agency, making our seeking Him and a relationship with Him the more precious
Second, God does not intervene in all tragedies because to do so would make God 'manipulatable' and thus not God as we have been taught to think of Him; reacting to the actions of others everytime makes you slave to their actions; put another way, God cannot be tempted
I hope that helps ...
I have read about them, but for years they never came to even attempt to help me, so I feel I have to figure out why. It is difficult because I do feel that I may have died of suicidal depression by now if I really was sure that there was not a God.
But hasn’t there been supposed cases where he did intervene and lead people to find Him even when they were not looking for Him? Why doesn’t he let everyone in the world know that the should be looking? Until I was about 23 or so God never intervened in my life and never even tired to let me know that i should be looking for him. At 23 I feel He may have picked that time to intervene, but I don’t know why He would wait that long.
The Bible records that Abraham believed God and it was counted for him righteousness. I believe God for He cannot lie. I believe His Word that with His Spirit in my human Spirit I will not die, though my body rot away.
But the Bible goes even further to teach that ALL HUMAN SPIRTS exist beyond the constraints of time, they are immortal. The question is what destiny you choose for your eternity. God has given clear choices. We make the choice one way or the other, even by default. Jeuss told the Pharisees that what God wanted was for them to believe on Him Whom God Has sent for their choice. That's all Jesus instructed them at that question.
See my privater eply...
And so forth, throughout the Gospels, and spoke of Heaven with the kind of familiarity one might have today of one's own livingroom.
So, those reports depend much on the credibility of the witnesses, which is another subject.
It's not a leap of faith to sit down in a chair, it is faith itself, which is an action based upon "belief."
The String Theoreticians, the 11 dimension crowd, claim nothing in our known cosmos is more than 11 centimeters away from every other thing, that gravity itself may be a remnant of the entanglement of all things "prior to" the, so-called, "Big Bang."
In short, as Shakespeare wrote, "there are more things in Heaven and Earth than are dreamt of in your philosophy."
I am, therefore I think.
The Buddha beat you to that explanation by 2,500 years, professor. :-)
Sometime, people don’t recognize the “help” they get. They may think “help” is a detriment-—but when you look back at events and reflect-—you find that some of the most horrific things that happened in your life, led to the most wonderful things.
Pain and hardship leads to the greatest spiritual growth and most Knowledge.
People who have gone on to do great things never had an “easy” life. They had to learn Fortitude in childhood and you only do that when you face adversity. Fortitude is a Virtue. Virtue is taught and habituated. Being grateful for what you have is major. You are always better off than someone.
Sometimes expectations are really messed up. Life is hard and just a short journey but everyone has a cross to bear....it is the afterlife which is the utopia.
Love and trust God. Then you will have pure joy and everything else falls in order and you realize how good God is.
This guy is a quack at both philosophy and science.
I have read most of what he has written and have some of his quotes on my social media. And you are? Ahem.
Exactly. I am an Orthodox Christian and I listened to Lanza one night with a mostly open mouth as he pretty much lined up with some of the basic thrology of my faith, except he called it science.
In fact, researchers recently showed (Nature 2009) that pairs of ions could be coaxed to entangle so their physical properties remained bound together even when separated by large distances, as if there was no space or time between them. Why? Because space and time aren't hard, cold objects. They're merely tools of our understanding. Death doesn't exist in a timeless, spaceless world.
You really should read everything you can find that he wrote. It is all just mind-blowing. I believed in Christ and worshipped God before I found Lanza but this stuff is so so Orthodox Christian that it all just cemented everything so nicely for me.
In 2002, scientists showed that particles of light photons knew in advance what their distant twins would do in the future. They tested the communication between pairs of photons. They let one photon finish its journey it had to decide whether to be either a wave or a particle. Researchers stretched the distance the other photon took to reach its own detector. However, they could add a scrambler to prevent it from collapsing into a particle. Somehow, the first particle knew what the researcher was going to do before it happened and across distances instantaneously as if there were no space or time between them. They decide not to become particles before their twin even encounters the scrambler. It doesnt matter how we set up the experiment. Our mind and its knowledge is the only thing that determines how they behave. Experiments consistently confirm these observer-dependent effects. Bizarre? Consider another experiment that was recently published in the prestigious scientific journal Science (Jacques et al, 315, 966, 2007). Scientists in France shot photons into an apparatus, and showed that what they did could retroactively change something that had already happened in the past. As the photons passed a fork in the apparatus, they had to decide whether to behave like particles or waves when they hit a beam splitter. Later on well after the photons passed the fork the experimenter could randomly switch a second beam splitter on and off. It turns out that what the observer decided at that point, determined what the particle actually did at the fork in the past. At that moment, the experimenter chose his past.
He was there. He, however, graciously allowed you your pain, so you would reach out for Him.
WE son’t just live after our earthly part of our lives - the soul that passes back Home, existed also before we came here.
We had knowledge, before we chose this existance, that this mortal life would be subject to joy and to grief 0 that it rains ‘on the good and the bad alike.”
We knew we would be subject to illness, accidnent, tragedies as well as joy. We can, through wisdom, avoid and/or mitigate a lot of it by making wise choices and by learning how to be safer.
We can also learn how to hear and heed the ‘still small voice’ that will guide us from harm or help us through it.
But we accepted the conditions when we agreed to the challenge. But we are never really alone. He kept His promise - that He would send us ‘a comforter.’
Each one of us has that companion and we CAN learn to hear that still small voice and learn to recognize the love and help we will get if we allow it...”Ask and ye shall receive.”
He hears your prayers.
Native Americans didn’t even have a term for death - only a recognition of passing on into the next life...
The Bible states that even Death and Hell are to be destroyed in the Lake of Fire. The Quantum guys might be onto something.
If death and Hell are some type of negative energy realities that have a degree of dimension, say they are some type of tesseract...then they may very well be “dissolvable” quantum matrixes.
I have a lot of experience with this very thing.
The things I thought were wonderful, nearly killed me. The things I thought were horrific, made my life so much better and meaningful.
Case in point: For many decades I was an active crack user. Somewhere along the way I got Recovery. In the process of recovering, I learned that my addiction was only a symptom of my problem -- and that problem was a spiritual sickness, a self-centeredness and self-seeking that defied all measure.
I worked on my spiritual condition, because to not do so was to return to addiction and to eventually die before my purpose had been realized... and to die in misery and pain.
Instead, by working my spiritual condition, I became other-directed, and interested in making a difference. I am a much more spiritually-fit person, and a person who actually has self-esteem, because I now do esteemable things.
The worst thing that could ever happen to me, became the impetus for a journey of great beauty.
I have NO CLUE what is good and what is bad for me, obviously. So, I try not to ask God for things to go a certain way. Instead, I try to stay focused on only asking for knowledge of His will for me and the power to carry that out.
I think those experiences are called “blessings in disguise.”
God bless and keep you, dearest Laz, along with everyone here.
Quatam physics is indeed one of the most fascinating things. But Lanza's idea that "we" humans create the universe through expectations is simply a ridiculous tangent to ride out on from the twin slit experiment. If the universe is created by the mind, it is not our minds that create it, but that of something god-like. The universe seems to have undiscovered phenomena before we existed. Now there may well be a mechanism to which our eternal souls can interact with the brain that might be discoverable by science and may or may not be related to the paradox of the twin slits, but I am dubious about it. I note that the articles say electrons change behavior based on the "observation" of a "detector" rather than a more direct real-time person...that there is some interference that science does not understand is clear. That the interference is based on the expectations of a conscious mind is speculative.
I love you Onyx.
I love you too, Sugar.
I love you more.
We are slow to learn because the earthly ego gets in the way. Our egocistical self gets in the way and hampers our real-self’s progression.
