THE JFK ASSASSINATION: LEFT WING KOOK LEE HARVEY OSWALD
11/21/2013 | Self

Posted on 11/21/2013 5:52:50 AM PST by Nextrush

"As the four left the Sheraton-Carlton to enter a taxi, they heard the unbelievable news blaring over the taxi's radio. President Kennedy and Governor John B. Connally had been shot and seriously wounded in the sun-drenched streets of Dallas. As the taxi drove off, the four listened in stunned silence. Tony Smith was the first to speak. 'My God,' he said, 'I'll bet one of those Birchers did it.'"

The reaction of Barry Goldwater's press Secretary Tony Smith to news of the assassination as quoted from Robert A. Novak's book "The Agony Of The GOP 1964."

The media template that had been laid for John F. Kennedy's visit to Dallas was so ingrained in the public's mind that even Barry Goldwater's press secretary thought a conservative had shot him.

CBS Southern Bureau Chief Dan Rather had suggested extra coverage for the visit because of the incident involving UN Ambassador Adlai Stevenson the month before and CBS sent him and another reporter to the city that day.

"The Soviet Union however is doing that. Tass has announced that extreme right wing elements were undoubtedly to blame."

Walter Cronkite on CBS-TV at 409pm Eastern time November 22, 1963.

Eventually the networks did get around to reporting the details of the assassin's background. At first he was called a "prime suspect".

"The man has been identified as Lee H. Oswald, chairman of a Fair Play for Cuba Committee. Now Fair Play for Cuba sounds more like a left-wing extremist organization than a right-wing one, but we have no positive identification of its point of view....."

Charles Collingwood on CBS-TV at 539pm Eastern time November 22, 1963

"Oswald as we said was local chairman of the pro-Castro Fair Play for Cuba Committee. He went to Russia in 1959 saying he was relinquishing his United States citizenship. He returned last year complaining that he was disillusioned. Whether or not he ever actually did ever get Soviet citizenship is not clear, but he did marry while in Russia and is said to have one or two children. His wife is in this country with him and was taken to the police station this afternoon also....."

Walter Cronkite on CBS-TV at 739pm Eastern time November 22, 1963.

Because a left-wing kook was responsible, the Left has been trying to rewrite history ever since with conspiracy theories about the "right wing" or someone else other than the leftist Oswald being the killer of John F. Kennedy.

“The film even slanders LBJ, making him sound like part of the conspiracy.” don’t YOU think he(LBJ) was? Seems to me LBJ was the ONLY one to have “benifitted” from JFK’s killing.

Not to mention then the kooks bring up Nixon as a “Right Winger”....

Nixon the man that took us OFF the gold standard, Created the oppressive EPA, started the anti-liberty War on Drugs, Used the government power to screw with people politically.... etc etc....

Nixon was not a Constitutional Conservative, The more I read about him the more I realize that he was a Progressive or a Neo-Progressive. He was a Subdued Rockefeller Republican type who was all about expanding government if it served him.

Barry Goldwater was a true Constitutional Conservative, Nixon was a Progressive who Posed as a Republican to get votes.

One of the most compelling parts of JFK is where “X” outlines his suspicions and so-called facts to Attorney Garrison. “X” being played by Donald Sutherland.

Even ignoring the analysis of Prouty whom the character is apparently based on, X serves up a lot of disinformation. In a way, it’s at least one of the climaxes and most poignant parts of the movie but one can see how the statements of “X” are individually dealt with.

Etc.

Well, what ever he was, the article was by the man who became President when Nixon resigned.

This was all pre-internet, so the stupid pre-dates today's information technology. I guess people were just slower in their stupidity back then. Now, they're stupid at light speed.

You have my vote for quote of the day...

Oswald’s mother would only speak to the weatherman from a local affiliate, as she said he was the only member of the media she trusted. He would go into the hall at the police station and ask for questions to present to her from the media. He would then come out with the answers and get more questions.

The craziest JFK conspiracy movie is Executive Action (1973) starring committed leftists Burt Lancaster, Robert Ryan, and life-long Communist Party member Will Geer.

The best parts of the movie are the scenes where Oswald "doubles" make themselves conspicuous around Dallas in the weeks leading up to November 22nd. Much of it is overwrought and ridiculous.

I’ve never denied that “JFK” was very well done and had an outstanding script; but it still makes me mad that it was so false and slanderous.

Well, if you can provide any EVIDENCE that LBJ was involved, I'll listen. The old "who benefited" bit is just innuendo, not evidence.

I spend a fair amount of time checking out amazon, I came across this one fellow who is a, if I dare say without being insulting to him, a “frothing at the mouth” conspiracy theorist.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/cdp/member-reviews/A278MAEX178VG8/ref=cm_cr_pr_auth_rev?ie=UTF8&sort_by=MostRecentReview

For the record, there was supposedly a CIA agent named Robert Morrow but I don’t know if it is the same person.

Anyway, I’ll keep it short, this guy not only sees LBJ this bad way, he trashes other books on the assassination that don’t line up to his views.

I understand the guy is a “speaker” on the topic of JFK being assassinated.

Madeleine Duncan Browne ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Madeleine_Duncan_Brown ) asserted she was LBJ’s mistress and found out some things, Morrow often quotes her but I said to Robert Morrow in one of the reviews, “hey, she didn’t say any of these things until 1989” which I’m fairly certain of but not totally.

Anyway, if one wants to see someone who really seems sure LBJ was involved, this guy does and reviews all of the books, all those books get 5 stars while like I said, others he calls way down, I think one of the reviews he just did is that way.

Sorry, this did go on for some time, anyway, I think Lyndon surely may have been bad but to be that bad to do something like this?? I’m not sure at all.

I’m a neutral on the topic but if I hear Conspiracists say something that sounds pretty outrageous, I point it out to them. In looking at this, I only hope people look at this sort of reasonable.

sorry for the very long post.
