Full title: "Shock Interview: Welfare Recipient: “I Get to Sit Home… I Get to Smoke Weed… We Still Gonna Get Paid”

While workers out there are preaching morality at people like me living on welfare, can you really blame us?

I get to sit home… I get to go visit my friends all day… I even get to smoke weed…

Me and people that I know that are illegal immigrants that don’t contribute to society, we still gonna get paid.

Our check’s gonna come in the mail every month… and it’s gonna be on time… and we get subsidized housing… we even get presents delivered for our kids on Christmas… Why should I work?

> All I can say is that about 7 or 8 out of every 10 EBT card users which I stand behind in the grocery store line are getting food I cannot afford and driving away in cars I can’t afford. Almost all of them are younger and more able-bodied than me.

And you know they are Obama’n to get their benefits telling the Dept of Human Services that they only have X a week oming in but fail to mention that they gave a son and a boyfriend that are working and living there that bring in XXX to the household. Meanwhile I haeto watch every penny I spend and deny myself and my wife things so that we can pay taxes for these useless POS to sit on their ans, smoke weed, watch TV and play video games all day long.

WV will probably look different.

Looking online it seems each state has their own type of card.

We have been working this week at the local baptist church ministry for giving food to the needy. Tuesday, had this woman, her daughter, and her several kids come in needing food. Needed money to pay power bill, which we send them downtown to an office to assist with that, and clothing needs. Said they were broke and desperate. So, we process them and send them back into the waiting room. 10 minutes or so later, I have to go outside and there is the women, standing outside SMOKING. They both HAD MONEY FOR SMOKES, but not money for food, power bill or buy clothes. THAT is with the majority of them. You can smell the smoke on them when they come in. Need help with everything, except PAYING FOR SMOKES!!! They have the money for that it seems.

The EBT cards have distinctive artwork; they’re highly recognizable.

She was proud as a peacock the day she called into the station. The later callers were PO’ed as all get out.

She tried to walk back her claims in the following talk show by saying her assistance only lasted two years, but no one bought her later lie.

Yes, she is one of 0 bummer’s voters and would vote for him as dictator. Austin is full of lazy welfare leeches.

Most "welfare" is mandated by the feds, but administered and distributed by the several States. Consequently, the EBT cards are issued by the several States and each State's EBT card is distinctive. Here is West Virginia's.

They are mostly a solid color, green, orange tan or blue, sometimes with a logo of the same color on a light background. The older ones even clearly say "EBT". They are generally absent the MasterCard or Visa logo. Yeah, it is getting harder to tell because the ObaMao administration doesn't want to "stigmatize" the poor little dears. But I get around a lot, used to work retail and know all the clues.

Dead giveaways, in addition to the foregoing, are cards from a bank you've never heard of (or can't find on-line) and separate cash transactions for tobacco. Nationwide, I think the percent of tobacco users is around 30%. Among EBT card users, it is 70% plus.

Long story short is that the new disguises might fool the low information voter and a few others. But there are ways of finding these things out which don't require much effort.

I can live on $5 a day for food.

It won't be exactly fine dining, but I can do it.

Another thing: You can go online with an image search, Bing, Google or whomever. Just type in the name (even abbreviation) of your state and words like EBT card, benefits card, benefits security card.

You will come up with the most common images.

I did this. Some of the states have multiple choices and some really cool designs. A few even have a place for the photograph of the users. The most common type here in Pennsylvania is a green background with the "Access" logo.

I'm actually surprised that more states don't sign crony capitalism deals with banks to use the more common MasterCard, Visa, Discover or American Express logos to disguise the cards better

She exists in a very fragile world. No skills, no worth other than voting and helping to break the system. When things go bad, people with skills have a chance.

This worthless puddle of ooze has zero chance.

MasterCard etc. are international brands, and very jealous of protecting their reputation. I strongly suspect that they DON’T want their logo (often associated with wealth and prosperity) to be sullied with the stigma of EBT.

In my state, the loser’s card is two peaches shown on a green background. You can google your state’s ICON of sloths and find out. That one card collects everything but the WICs certificates.

It is true that the “cash” form of “assistance” is 5 years, but there is no limit to how long you can be on foodstamps or medical. There is no limit to WIC or LEAP that I am aware of, other than both are based on income. Same with stamps and medical.

I don’t find anything about it ‘prank’ I’ve seen these assholes standing in line bragging to the cashier about what they get. They treat that card most of the time like it’s a gold card. Almost none of them show shame any more.

You might be right. But they still lend their logos to cards which clearly are for losers (low credit limits, high interest rates, annual fees).

Try looking up one called "CreditOne", just for an example. They look very similar to the "CapitalOne" card but are a card clearly for losers. I'm surprised CapitalOne doesn't sue them for trademark infringement, but they maybe get a cut of the action.

In a former life, I was in the licensing business and dealt with this type of thing on a regular basis. It is, as one of my colleagues said about Pierre Cardin, they would allow their logo to be used on a condom if the price was right.

Thanks ... very interesting. And yes, the Credit One and Capital One logos are very similar ... Can you imagine a company calling itself Kako Kalo and using its name, underlined and in cursive, as its logo?
