"If I go down, I'm taking every one of them with me"

Posted on 11/25/2013 12:31:28 AM PST by KJC1

If you heard this from a fellow co-coworker, an armed one no less (a police officer), how would you interpret this declaration?

And, he just went down, meaning lost his job finally after years of issuing threats against me and others. In fact, he told many witnesses to come and watch as he took me down. This individual has made it clear he blames me even though I was not around for many of the incidents, including his last one where he flipped out on officers from two other agencies. He lost his job on account of the last incident, involving none of us he has as his targets.

Why am I writing this vanity? I'm not sure entirely, other than to document it.

Believe it or not, I have in writing from my employing agency that they acknowledge that he made these statements.

I am a police officer who has crossed the thin blue line many times.

You ask a great question. They quoted him and then stated that it was “not a physical threat” in order to clear him, despite, no kidding, 15+ witnesses to the contrary.

Some how I doubt that your superiors chose not to charge him with making a physical threat to clear him.

More likely it was a CYA moment.

If they charged him with making threats against your life they would then have to explain not taking action earlier (assuming that earlier reports were made documenting his earlier threats).

Such individuals are often ignored or their aberrant behavior dismissed because dealing with them properly is a major hassle and often leads to legal complications.

But if the man does go off and harms someone and the documentation is there showing he was identified as a serious threat they will be in hot water. But the odds are with them and they are for the most part protected by law.

Do the higher ups in your department remember Christopher Darden?

I'm shocked that they aren't taking this more seriously.

Darden had the whole state of California on lock down.

You'd think they would do everything they could to prevent another incident like that from happening.

From your lips to God’s ears.

On my end this is a guy who was/is obsessed with dead cops and put up photos of them all over our office, and carried a shovel in the trunk of his patrol car. And he isn’t gone yet; he’s still around by virtue of his “retirement”.

If you're born again, you have an advocate and friend that is SUCH a comfort and I personally feel a protective armor against the real threat(s) from this man.

If you're not born again, I'd re-think the supernatural world and call upon Jesus to come into your life.

You describe one of those impossible-to-control-by-yourself situations that are so frustrating because our rational mind really wants a magic wand ... which isn't rational.

I pray for you, my FRiend.

OMG!
This is so creepy.

This thread may someday be important... so keep a copy of it in case.

I’m not a super brave person. I’d probably flee if faced with something similar to this.

What I’ve learned is that they assume they wont be the targets of the likes of my former co-worker or Christopher Dorner.

I thought from the headline it would be about Barack Obama.

But it's not. Be careful, aware, and poised to respond.

Hey, here’s something else: God is more powerful than anything, prayers actually DO work, I have seen them work. I will pray earnestly for your and your families safety.

I wouldnt want to live worrying about the family every day if he made direct threat to me or family I would get it over with.

I would him to meet face to face,If it talks out thats real good...if it doesnt ,well at least he doesnt get surprise on you.

Ive had something like this before when I was young...I couldnt find him to settle in any organized way.He was threatening my family....he caught me by surprise on the hwy ...with a shotgun in my face.I pulled over and he ordered me into his car.

I ended up punching him out at about 110 mph.....when I got the car stopped....I rolled out in the ditch.a cop on the other side went by ......and he sputtered off... :)
got a detached retina out of it.....blurry in my left eye for about a yr.from a punch, I didnt get shot.... The point being,I think its best to not get surprised like that.

He went to prison a month later for something I think it was 20 yrs.....I was lucky that day.... he was lucky that day too......................

Ive had a few problems like that over the yrs....the worst were after I quit drugs about 35 yrs ago. Some of the guys I knew back then didnt like the idea at all.

I wont tolerate worrying about something like that its not worth it...I would rather get it over with. If possible.

Maybe playing mind games on you.

If I was going to take someone or a group out, I wouldn't announce it to the world, not the best of tactics.

Protect yourself as best you can, look for weakness in your everyday routine, as with everybody, there are some.

Certainly not me.

I would give an honorable FREEPER cop the benefit of the doubt(who has been here longer than you by the way) before lumping him in with the bad seed cops. Your post was way out of line and an unjust attack on a FREEPER personage you probably no nothing about! Bearing False witness, whether by snark or by direct speech can get you a little attention from a “higher policing authority”.!

Dorner- That was the name I was thinking of-not Darden.

You say your coworkers don't think they will be targeted, but Dorner went after family members of people.

I mean you'd think they wouldn't want to take chances after that happened.

There's good police officers and there's bad police officers. The ones on this forum tend to be conservative, good people. We need them both on the force, and in this forum.

Stand down.
