Texans Allege ‘Fishy’ Adjustments By The Patriots
CBS Houston ^

Posted on 12/01/2013 8:42:32 PM PST by Perdogg

The Texans defense struggled against Tom Brady and the Patriots. But then again, who doesn’t?

After the Texans 34-31 loss, defensive end Antonio Smith made it clear he thought Brady had a little extra help in carving up their defense to the tune of 365 passing yards.

Belichek’s history makes it seem suspicious — but on the other hand any NFL team is always self analyzing isn’t it?

“We’ve analyzed their attack, sir, and there is a danger.”

Having witnessed Brady, through view his marches down the field, I do have to compliment Brady's execution of time on the clock knowledge, plus reading defenses and executing in spite of the defenses thrown at him. Brady reminds me of a computer that self adjusts to what defense is thrown against him. Brady is also not above using the rules, of the game, to create or utilize a refereed advantage that only the rule book contains. Not a fan of Brady but do respect his abilities and wish someone could build a computer than is capable of recognizing and utilizing time and the field in the manner Brady does. Though probably not the best quarterback with the best statistics, Brady is perhaps the best at running the under one minute drill than any quarterback have ever had the pleasure to view.

Gosh, just read what I typed and I sound like a fan of his but am not. I do wish though more quarterback had a Brady brain.

I think the NFL elites "work" somethings out.....Houston was driving well...a Denver player absolutely held him and the Houston guy couldn't catch the pass.......the Pats had NO calls against them the entire day....

sorry, I just think that the elites have a plan to push along certain teams and nothing is going to stop them....

“They figured out our plays. This is impossible, despite the fact the only major change to the game was the introduction of the forward pass.”

Everything is a variation of something already done.

I watched the Redskins play the “read option.”

This has already been done for decades in college. It is called the “wishbone T.”

Nothing new under the sun since Walsch and Landry.

When you’re 2 and 10, teams don’t need any fishy stuff to beat you. The Patriots probably had developed a ‘tell’, the Texans had spotted it, and the Pats coaches figured it out the first time the Texans took advantage of it.

It’s tough to lose ten in a row, but the Texans were better today. If they’d played this game the last couple of weeks, they’d have broken the streak.

The pats had no calls, and the texans only had two. The refs weren’t throwing flags...even when a punt returner was run into before the ball came down.

Yeah, the ‘elites’ must just have it in for the Texans—who are 2-10 this year.

(Maybe the same way ‘they’ just didn’t want Rick Perry to be the GOP nominee in 2012?)

If the teams were actually allowed to play football as they were pre-2000 or so, none of these arcane things would matter. But once the ‘60s hippies got into power in the NFL, as they did in the federal government, all the rules changed. Luckily, these wingnuts are retiring (they’re amazingly lazy), or dying off, fast. Hopefully we will still have a country when the Reagan-era peeps start moving into power.

I think people forget what BB did as a coach in SB 36 against the Rams with Brady in 2002.His playbook is in the NFL Hall of Fame because of it.

I saw at least three big Texans plays that were caused by almost that exact maneuver. The refs simply weren’t throwing flags.

Once a cheater, always a cheater. Bellicheck is a proven cheater, so don’t be too surprised if this is true.

One day, the whole truth will come out and hopefully it will before that girly-man Brady gets into the HoF.

Tagliabue looked at the tapes of the Rams walk thru practice taken shortly before SB 36 by a Patriots employee.

Tags proclaimed nothing to see, move along, then destroyed the only copy of the tapes.

If there was nothing suspicious on them, then why destroy the evidence?
