Men and women's brains are 'wired differently'
BBC News ^ | 12-3-13

Men and women's brains are connected in different ways which may explain why the sexes excel at certain tasks, say researchers.

A US team at the University of Pennsylvania scanned the brains of nearly 1,000 men, women, boys and girls and found striking differences.

I have an old Encyclopedia Britannica which has some interesting information on the brain.

Women in general score just about the same on average but just a tiny bit better. Men score far higher and far lower. The number of geniuses is heavily weighted to men. On the other side men have far more Forest Gumps.

My Mother had 3 boys and 2 girls. She once told me that they are so different even as babies that she totally rejects the idea that it is caused by environment. She also said she thought little boys were just as sweet as little girls.

I find it hilarious and frustrating at the same time when people try to deny this obvious truth, and I think the deliberate denial of that has an extremely corrosive effect on society.

The leftists have pushed the lie of the blank slate/tabula rasa theory for half a century. Some may have given up on it and believe in a certain amount of inherited intelligence, but they firmly believe that both sexes have equal amounts of whatever inherited intel we have. They literally faint (like the female prof at the Larry Summers Harvard speech) when informed that males and females might be inherently different in matters other than physical.

Your story reminds me of some hippy friends. They had two girls first and spent all their time trying to make sure they didn’t do any “gender specific” damage to them. Even so, they wore dresses, played with dolls and cooked with their mom.

Then they had a boy.

Even with their special, non-gender-specific toys, he used a baby doll as a gun and turned a shopping cart toy into a snowplow truck.

Of course, the really funny thing was that no matter how liberal they may have been, he worked on a farm and built things with his hands while she cooked and sewed.

I wish I had that old National Lampoon graphic “inside women’s brains” with special locations for things like remembering birthdays and anniversaries or how to fill a dishwasher. Very humorous.
