Although borderline sci-fi, I’d add “Legend,” starring Richard Dean Anderson. It was a hoot, but cancelled to make way for a show with a video games conceit that I think got cancelled even faster. Still, it did free him up for “Stargate SG-1.”

I thought they were doing well on “V”... until they rushed the last of the series :/

For me, Fringe should be on that list.

Any list that puts “Firefly” at number one has lost me. Can’t stand Firefly fanatics. The show wasn’t bad, but the obsession of the fanatics has made me hate anything associated with it by now. Kind of like Ron Paul.

I don’t think I even heard of “Journeyman” and I am a scifi guy

Better to end an episode too soon than an episode too late. IMO all of these ran out of ideas before they ran out of episodes (with the exception of Firefly).

I watched Survivors and Outcasts (both BBC series)on Netflix. Survivors was kind of like Lost.

I agree. I wish they could have had a better ending though.

Actually I would say Heroes carried on past the expiration date. It really dropped off every season past the first.

Personally I’d say most of the things on the list which I’m familiar with are poor choices. Sure Firefly didn’t deserve the boot, but Enterprise? Farscape? Heroes? SG: Universe? None of those were particularly worthy to be honest, and all managed to run into quality issues which made their earn their cancellation.

Also the list suffers from the classic ‘last decade’ syndrome in that none of the shows are particularly old. I don’t think any of them were older than 15 years. TV has been around for over 60 years now after all.

Heck, one could argue that ST:TOS is worthy of inclusion. It did only survive three seasons after all.

The Lost Room is (IMO) the best thing that Scfi Channel did. The thought that had to go into following along was worth the price of admission.

Would have needed writers that could write for a better ending to occur.

If Enterprise’s fourth/last season had been it’s second it would have lasted the usual seven years of post-TOS Trek shows. But by the time it cast off the baggage from seasons 2 and 3 and really started to hum it had permanently lost too much of it’s audience.

Journeyman wasn’t on long, about a guy (and gal) and perhaps others that traveled through time and came back to current time all without any control. One time he went back and found D.B. Cooper (or his money?). Kinda funny at times.

I’d like to see a series set in the future about the certain global economic collapse that leftist policies will bring about. It’ll have it all—kooks with nukes, wierd science, gender-bending madness, hybrid monstrocities, jihadis gone wild—all set in an Escape from NY backdrop.

When he flashed off the plane in flight and had the run in with TSA, that was a moment to be treasured.
