Do you miss Carol? Well, you’re in luck, because according to TV Guide she’ll be returning by the end of the season. When and how she shows up remains a mystery, but one theory on her return is that she’ll admit to covering up for the real killer of Karen and David. Fans are speculating that the real killer is still at large, and they're citing the rat dissection found in episode 8 as fuel for clearing Carol’s name.
Who do viewers think is the real killer? None other than Lizzie, the young girl that Carol watched over. Between her soft spot for walkers and the brutal shooting of the Governor’s army, fans have a feeling that this young girl is far from innocent. Referring to Lizzie shooting Alisha square in the head, showrunner Scott Gimple told Vulture, “I like to say that scene, however sensational it is in the moment, was there to serve that Carol story.”
“We’ll be addressing that in the future,” he continued. “It’s all part of a greater story. It’s important to know that that wasn’t just some big sensational moment.”
'Moving On After Hershel'-
Hershel’s decapitation was perhaps the most emotional and gruesome death on “The Walking Dead.” Fans won’t be able to forget him, and the characters will definitely struggle to move on after his death.
“Hershel represented civilization and humanity and everything they had built the prison into,” Gimple explained to Yahoo TV. His passing won’t affect just Maggie and Beth … it’ll also take a toll on Rick.
“He absorbed the humanity from Hershel, he believes that we can change, that we can come back,” the showrunner said of Rick. “But can Rick come back from this, from the loss of Hershel?”
‘The Sanctuary’-
Remember when Daryl, Michonne, Bob and Tyreese heard a voice on the radio that offered “sanctuary?” “The Walking Dead” has not forgotten about it. TV Guide teases that it will “come into play” in the second half of season 2. Whether it’s still around or truly a safe place remains a mystery.
Flashbacks-
Get ready for some more flashbacks! Viewers will get to peek at the past of a couple of their favorite characters. It’s unclear if the flashback will be from before the zombie apocalypse or right at the start, but rumor has it that it will address Michonne and her fit of crying while holding baby Judith.
New Characters-
As we previously reported, a batch of new characters (some from the comic books) will be appearing when the show returns. The second half of season 4 promises to be completely different. Are you looking forward to the change in environment, structure and characters?"

Yup, for a while we’ve been surmising that Lizzie is the little psychotic. Looks like we were right. So great if Carol comes back! I really would like to see that. It makes sense, since she’s “adopted” Lizzie as her own, that she would have to be the one to “put her down,” me thinks....

They were all dead the whole series!
I like to be kept in suspense so I don’t go out of my way looking for spoilers. But since this is here I will comment on the last show. I thought the killing of the Governor at the last second, just as he’s about to put Rick down, was one of the least surprising parts of the entire episode. I even said it out loud right before it happened. Lame. What would have been a nice twist would have been for the Governor, after Michonne threatened him in the trailer, to take a knife and stab her in the eye so after she got her revenge she would still have a reminder to take with her for the rest of her life.
Carol covering up for Lizzie makes sense. However Carl is also a possibility. After all, he’s already killed the living when he didn’t need to.
Here’s a little ‘inside baseball’:
The walking deadocrat lobby will have a bill introduced into congress
that bans shooting firearms at the heads of walking deadocrats. It
also bans the use of knives with blades longer than one inch and
blunt object weapons except for feather dusters. RINOs
in the House will join deadocrat representatives in passing the bill
which will sale through the Senate and signed by the deadocrat
president. The humans will weigh their remaining options.
Death was too good for the Governor. I would rather have him not shot, and have had Michonne stab him in his good eye so he would spend eternity as a blind walker.
My husband thinks it could be Carl. It would be an interesting twist if Rick kicked Carol out because she was covering for his own son.
I wouldn’t call Lizzie psychotic anyway. Any kid raised in that world is going to be a mess.
I’m gonna miss Herschel. He was the balance in the group.
True. I like Carl, but he’s a product of the ZA himself.
I don’t think Judith is dead. I don’t recall seeing an RIP for her during The Talking Dead.
The Governor is the worse general since Wesley Clark. He had a tank and superior numbers and still got his ass kicked.
He should have used the tanks main gun to disperse Ricks people and the co axial to keep the heads low. Reduce part of the prison before sending in your troops.

Now THAT’S interesting. I thought maybe Carol, maybe Lizzy,
but Carl, hmmm... He’s ready to pull the trigger preemptively for the protection of the group, as he did with the Woodbury kid, which thought was justified. (The kid wouldn’t drop the gun, just kept leaning in)
MY dream scenario is that Rick has to BEG Carol for help or
shelter. I didn’t even really have much of an opinion about Carol till Rick treated her like crap. Then I was like, hey,
wait a minute. Seriously, I can’t stand Rick. While I’m glad the governor got taken out, I was glad he delivered the
beating to Rick that he did. In my mind, it was for Carol.
Looking forward to the conclusion of the season!!

Maybe someone familiar with the comic book series would like to weigh in with a list and/or description of some favorite characters from the comics who haven’t yet appeared in the TV series...?
You’re right. I wanted Carl to take him out with the 22. Actually if Carl were my son he would be proficient with all the weapons he could physically handle. I’d have sent him up on the roof to the already set up sniper post to take out the Governor. But that’s just me. Of course I would be driving a Deuce and a Half instead of a Prius too :-)

It certainly wouldn’t have been the way I attacked the prison. Rolling up to the gate as a compact group was stupid to begin with.
I would have rolled up there with the tank but had everyone else hang back beyond the treeline. Have a few step out from the woods just to make Rick wonder how many there were.
