They dont teach this stuff in eighth-grade civics class: a freshman U.S. senator from the minority party provokes a shutdown of the federal government in a hopeless quest to undo the Presidents signature legislative achievement. The nation flirts with a potentially disastrous default while the populace looks on in disgust. And when the instigator tries to explain himself during one of the longest speeches in Senate history, somehow he ends up reciting Dr. Seusss Green Eggs and Ham.

I would argue that "pragmatism" is the vice that brought us to where we are today, on the verge of full-blown socialism/communism.
Sad to say, they don’t have 8th grade civics classes anymore, so there’s no class to teach this in the first place nowadays.
Time Magazine is owned by the Left. I would never expect them to write anything of value or importance. They are a has-been, now a dinosaur of media.
Projection. This is a perfect description of Obama.
Americans were SOOOOOO disgusted. Just look at the huge hit in their approval ratings:
Ted Cruz is crazy like a fox. He knows exactly what he is doing.
Actually, I thought it was brilliant the way he read to his children and still managed to use the story to elaborate his point. Anyone that still thinks he was childish ect. needs to listen to what he said. At least 4 or 5 hours of it to get the context. He got more truth out of Green Eggs and Ham than most Senators do out of the palaver they spew forth.
The is an interactive at the website that has the whole speech and is segmented into Cruz/other sections. I don’t have cable at all or internet at night, so I couldn’t watch it in real time.
