A tourist in Australia had to be rescued by police after plunging off a pier while browsing Facebook on her phone, officials said Wednesday.

The woman was walking along a bay in Melbourne on Monday night when she became distracted by her Facebook feed and plummeted off the pier into the chilly water, Victoria state police said. …

Shark attack is way more likely, unless you have a saltwater crocodile escaping the aquarium in Melbourne. The salties inhabit the northern coasts of Australia; Melbourne is way to the south.

I was shopping last week and there were three teens walking in the parking lot texting or whatever. One of them walked right into a light post.

The others kept on walking as he picked himself up off the pavement. I laughed loud enough for him to know I saw how stupid he looked.
