I kinda enjoyed this film. It is way better on XBMC in HD.

Thought I would share.

I know I could look it up but it’s easier to ask. Which character was Suraj the young or older Pi? Saw the movie at the theater so it’s been awhile. I enjoyed the movie but the thing that redeemed it from being a bore was the dual ending, spiritual meaning behind it that made you think back and try to figure out certain scenes. I liked that the tiger’s name was Richard Parker:)

Megashare appeas to be an illegal warez site, or at least is legally questionable.

Can you confirm these free movies are legit?

Brother says the book was better.
I say the film is pretty impressive.

Besides the fact that it didn’t make any sense.

So did he murder everyone and eat them? Or was there really a tiger, and an island made of human bones and teeth? I don’t really get it. I know it’s about faith, but which story would you believe? The more plausible one.

He did not kill anyone.
he tried to be a mediator

He looked himself in the eye.

He killed his innocence.
Accepted his failure.

God allowed him to survive.

CGI looked dream like (as it should given the philosophical tone of the story), almost a perfect blend of film reality and animation. In other words, not phony, but unique.

I didn’t find any part of this film ‘boring’. Thoroughly enjoyed the story from all perspectives and the ending was very good.

The movie is very good but frankly it’s a grisly ending. Plainly he witnessed his mother’s murder and had to kill in turn.

I’m not sure preferring the nicer but implausible alternate story is much of an endorsement of a real God.

I like a movie that makes you think and mull it all over at the end. That’s exactly what ‘life of Pi’ does, and it does it well.

Most movies these days are crap and not worth sitting through.

"Notice that the actor Irfan Khan is also obsessed with “Richard Parker” in the Amazing Spider-man. What’s up with that?"

In an Edgar Allan Poe novel, Richard Parker was a sailor who survived a shipwreck but was cannibalized by some other sailors. I think that is where the author of "life of Pi" got the name.

Not a spiderman fan so I don't know how if fits there, but if Irfan Khan is also in Spiderman..... perhaps he wanted to work it in somehow.

I read the book a while back, it didn’t strike me as material for a movie.

Lots of folks had good things to say about it though.. mayhap I’ll check it out.

LOL! What are you? Some kind of old fogie?

I know how it feels. I'm 45 and in the Navy. I'm surrounded by people 20+ years younger than me. They look at me as some kind of dinosaur when I tell them I rented a movie from Redbox or purchased music from iTunes. Kids today download EVERYTHING for free. The entertainment industry is very frightened.
