Baltimore-based sports apparel maker Under Armour is keeping its ties to the "Duck Dynasty" franchise amid a media uproar over comments made by star Phil Robertson about gays and blacks. While the company says it does not condone Robertson's statements, Under Armour does not have plans to end its business dealings with the Robertson family.

good thing...it would make them go from Duck Commanders to Duck Commandos.
They will have my business, then
unlike the wusses at Cracker Barrel
Kevin Plank donates to Republicans!
Ha ha ha!
I have more Underarmour in my closet than some high school athletic departments all together.
suppose to be good undies. good for cold weather hunting. I might give em a try next hunting season....
Jock lobby doesn’t give a rat’s a$$ about the LBGT lobby!
Did you catch that part about “does not condone”?
He’s also a big supporter of horse racing in Maryland...I’m a fan.
It appears he’s a neighbor of my cousin. I’ll have to ask her if she knows him. I’d think a guy like that would be poison in Georgetown, LOL.
I am going purely on $$. I’ll put my money on those who talk with theirs.
A&E is scum and 80% Disney (surprise!). Apparently CB runs behind. UA is threading the needle.
As someone who has gay colleagues and is in a business partnership with some, I keep to my side of the line. Live in the world but be not of it.
“blacks”? What did Phil say about blacks?
He probably pointed out that there was less crime, less single parenthood and stuff back in the old days, which is terribly offensive to socialists
He talked about Jim Crow and the PC police have taken it out of context and made it racist. He is getting the full colonoscopy now by the leftist media. I am waiting on someone to be interviewed and talk about how offensive he was back in college or some kid he bullied in elementary school.
There is a lesson to be earned here IMO. Regular Americans should not grant interviews to liberal media. PERIOD. Nothing good will come of it and if you wear your faith on your sleeve they will bait you non-stop.
He said he never saw any discrimination of them back when he was growing up. That he, being white trash, was equal to them. Of course, that was spun into nothing what he meant which was he worked alongside them as farm labor.
In truth he never mentioned Jim Crow.
IOW, UA doesn't accept or agree with Phil's statements but they still like the profits the A&E distributed merchandise brings them. Their public statement has the same meme as the Cracker Barrel does so makes me wonder if they used the same PR firm or they copied CB. Nope, sorry, UA chose to step into it with their diversity hoo-haw and looking at the profit margin while slamming Phil gets them put on my ban list. Not that I ever was a customer.
FR also isn’t catching the part about, “The recent comments in the GQ article are not reflective of Under Armour’s beliefs and do not represent our point of view,” the company said in a statement. “As a company, we are committed to diversity and inclusion and believe in treating everyone equally and with respect.”
In truth he never mentioned Jim Crow.
Does not surprise me - that is what I heard as a summary on Fox News. Even Fox can’t get it right - I heard part of what he said and if that was racist I don’t understand the meaning of the word.
Another leftist lynching by the PC police.
Let’s buy some Under Armor for Christmas gifts!
"I never, with my eyes, saw the mistreatment of any black person," Robertson told GQ writer Drew Margary. "Not once. Where we lived was all farmers. The blacks worked for the farmers. I hoed cotton with them. Im with the blacks, because were white trash. Were going across the field.... Theyre singing and happy. I never heard one of them, one black person, say, I tell you what: These doggone white peoplenot a word!... Pre-entitlement, pre-welfare, you say: Were they happy? They were godly; they were happy; no one was singing the blues."
Don't aks me to find the racism in it. lol
Someone in that company kept their wits about them.
Well, whadda ya know? They agree with Phil Robertson on that, so they must condone SOME of what he said.
certainly not in my price range
My husband loves UnderArmour. He has quite a few items, and they wash and wear very well.
He bought the storied Sagamore racing farm in Baltimore County. I was fortunate enough to be able to ride on his property when I boarded my horse nearby. It’s one of the most beautiful places on the planet!
Good - won’t have to return the UA stuff we bought for our daughter for Christmas to Dick’s......
They only condone their profit margin, not with his Christian values. Bottom line, they should have kept their nose out of it.
Anyone hear anything from Pizza Hut, and Home Depot? Both advertise on DD.
I’ve read his book. He grew up dirt poor. He worked along side of poor blacks. He was talking from his view of the world.
