From Venezuelan tankers? Tell me Cuba doesn't have oil wells and refineries.
They sure got some nice, old 50s & 60s cars down in Cuba, cobbled together, but running like champs. And some, not-so-nice junkers, but also running.
Are those prices also available to the yacht owners pulling into the Venezuelan port cities? Not that I’m one of those fortunate individuals, but I wonder if those prices are available to everyone or only to the Venezuelan citizens.
I did some internet research on your question just for fun.
The cheap price (which apparently is about 80 cents/gal for marine diesel) is only available to vessels operating under Venezuelan flag/registry.
Also comments indicate that the fuel there is not good quality and causes a lot of service issues. And that a lot of “banditos” sailing the area area a “major problemo”
Thanks for the answer. Merry Christmas!
Darn,I was gonna move there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Has the government there made private possession of firearms illegal??????????

I believe Chavez and Maduro have made attempts to make private possesion of firearms illegal but you would have to check it just to be sure.
Lots of guns used in crime/murders there so somebody has them.
Hint: Like Allende in Chile, Chavez was creating his own private army so communist weapons from Cuba were being handed out behind the public’s back. This is what to watch out for.
Nothing a little more government power can’t fix.
