Yes, they’d get in pretty bad trouble if they signed Tebow. Can’t have an influence like that in the NFL.

Tebow would think they signed him to start. Kitna knows how to ride a bench.

Actually, Kitna is a Christian too. He’s just not a good QB.

We all saw how great “quarterback insurance” worked out for the J-E-T-S Jets.

Besides, he’s way too young.

This is inoculation for Jason Garrett and even the almost-certain hugh loss guarantees his return next year. With Romo at the helm, a loss — although still likely since the Eagles are peaking at the right time — may have been the end for Red J.

Jon Kitna is 41. I thought he was retired. It says on Wiki that he is a high school teacher. I’m surprised he would come in to be third string QB.

“Couldn’t they get Staubach?/s”

He could probably still play - and there is no /s after that comment.

But if you remember all the head knockings he took, and the fact that he can still remember his name - I’m not sure it is even a good idea for him to WATCH football.

Talk about exercises in missing the point.

The team that ranks dead last in defense is worried about who plays QB.

For a guy who played for NAIA Central Washington, he had a great career. One of his college teammates had a dad coaching in the NFL and told his dad that he should take a good look at Kitna.

When he got the math teaching and coaching job, he asked the principal if it would be OK to buy a bunch of new weight training equipment for the school. The principal said he’d see what he could do. Kitna informed he better make a quick decision because it was all going to show up the next day. He had purchased over $50,000 with his own money.

How is that for class?

I’m an Eagles fan, but I was hoping for a knock down-drag out fight next Sunday with each team giving the best they had. Now that’s not going to happen. But it depends on which Eagles team shows up - the one that lost soundly to the Vikings or the won that trounced the Bears.

The Eagles really need to be battle tested or else they won’t get very far in the playoffs (unless they play the Bears again in the first round ;)

You know, with schools these days, I am sure 4 or 5 300 pound linemen in his face would be relaxing.
