MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) A north Minneapolis family is spending Christmas in fear after a thief or thieves broke down their door and stole their Christmas presents.
It happened in the 3400 block of Fremont Avenue North Sunday afternoon around 2 oclock in broad daylight. The family was just returning from church when they saw the broken door and thousands of dollars worth of items missing.

Relatives too?
From you kids!! So they don’t ruin the surprise!
There ain’t thousands of dollars worth of anything in the 3200 block of North Fremont. Drug stash maybe.
I suspect a scam.
I think these people say this happened - or know someone that will do the deed (a relative) - go to church to remove themselves form the crime scene (going to church) - and then return in shock - hoping the news picks up the story - they get flooded with $1000’s of dollars of gifts from yet another emotional story by the US News!
...yeah - scam...but then again - the POTUS is an excellent example so why wouldn’t people recreate this on a local scale...I wonder if they go to church every week???
Guess it depends on the relatives...
One of my employees (black) tells me he has worthless welfare, ETA, SNAP sister who comes over his house at night when he is asleep and go through his house "borrowing" stuff...
Yeah, he took away her keys...and changed the locks...
Bothell, WA has been having a problem with some woman stealing delivered packages off of people’s front porches.

Several thousand dollars from that lower income house? Someone is living high or something. We couldn’t do presents this year.
This area got hit hard by the tornado was it last summer? anyways, google street view shows the houses on the block covered in blue tarps.
Saw the headline and started singing, “Skeptic Claus is comin’ to town...”
wow, some family. I’d like to think I can trust my family and friends. Besides most people know if they need something that bad, I’m likely to just give it to them.
