|A view of Arlington National Cemetery, in Arlington, Va., shows a fraction of the 143,000 wreaths placed at the graves of fallen service members during Wreaths Across America. Dec 2013.
DOD photo by Sebastian Sciotti Jr.
Have a great New Year, FReeps. We shall never forget the sacrifice of those who have given all, and continue to do so.
When I see this photo I wonder if we are not killing off the best of the best so that the worst of the worst can survive.
I wonder if ryan had this picture on his desk when he inadvertently f’d the vets?
Oh wait he said that they would fix it later, but did not explain why it was there in the first place even after he knew it was included.
TRUST ME WOULD I LIE TO YOU???
I still get angry at the democrat politicians with NO military service who weaseled their way in there...
Wow.. very moving. Thank you.
Thank you for posting this. My church sponsored 15 of these wreaths at a local cemetery which has a growing Veteran’s section. They even have a Cobra Gunship on a pedestal over this section.
Beautiful! God bless those who do this every year!
Ditto to all, and to all a good night.
How many have died for Freedom’s Liberty,
To protect the Rights of you and me?
How many have died with their children in heart,
Hoping that they will stop oppression’s start?
How many have died, in the long Cold War,
Keeping Communism in check?
How many times do you even think of these cemeteries,
Other than the “Two Auspicious Days”?
How many times must you hear the voice of oppression,
Before it’s hands clap your ears?
How many times do you think of something and say it not,
So that your thought may never ‘be caught’?
How many times you wish to cry out,
but fear the IRS?
If the last question be true,
what did those G.I.’s die for, if not for me and you?
