There was a happy ending for a dog that became lost and was found a long way from home.
A couple in Arizona spotted a wandering dog while they were out 4-wheeling on New Year's Day. They traced the owner through the animal's rabies tag.
The dog belongs to an 86-year-old rancher in Junction, up in the Texas Hill Country. She was 800 miles from home.
The dog was picked up in Arizona Friday and the owner thinks she was scared by fireworks on New Year's Eve and ran away.
But it's still a mystery how she ended up all the way in Arizona.

Reports coming in now how doggy accomplished this feet...
Doggy went Digging and dug up a dollup of Dogecoin... Directed his doggy self to a nearby Greyhound bus terminal that takes Dogecoin.... The rest, as they say, is dog history.

hitchhiking woulda taken about 15 heures, at least.
that doesn’t give him much time on either end to catch the ride and then get found. It sounds like fewer than 24 heures if he left TUE eve and was found WED afternoon.

I get so mad at fireworks popping rednecks. The start before Christmas and don’t stop until whenever. In fact, I heard some today. My dogs shake the whole time.
We’re looking for a town to move to that bans fireworks.

800 / 24 = 33.33333333
the dog ran at a 33.33 mph pace for 24 hours?
I don’t think so.

No, you can live in those places where there are no laws whatsoever and no one respects anyone else.
