But, this is the most disturbing example, and repeated constantly.

When I heard it the first thing I thought of was Priscilla Presley in the shower.

Good morning.....it must really be global warming because Houston is 28 degrees this morning.....and you know, cold/ice/hot/dry - it’s all global warming.

Everything is closed today — including our own business. Although I can keep my office warm (I’ll go in later to handle mail) there is no way that I can keep the manufacturing part of the plant warm enough for our employees — plus I have one who walks to work.

We have actual temps of -16 and wind chill (real feel) of -46 this morning. Besides, we are all in a funk over Green Bay’s loss yesterday.

“Why is breast milk superior to cow’s milk or formula?”

1. It’s always fresh.
2. The cats can’t get at it.
3. And it comes in such a cute little container.

;^)

I understand about the GB loss - we were doing everything in our power to make them win! You know, the “lean” to help them catch the ball - the chants, cheers, even closing my eyes a couple of times because I couldn’t bear to watch that play..... guess you can blame it on us, we didn’t do enough!

Even though that photo is a perfect example of the WFTD, do you not have any feeling for us on this thread? Subjecting us to his photo early on a Monday morning...shame on you!

thanks for subbing, soother. xsbaby is home with only two of the four wisdom teeth out. The dentist said that despite the twilight sedation, she was fighting him, and he figured it was better to just stop after the top two and refer her out to an oral surgeon for the bottoms which were more complicated. He said she didn’t like the pressure but there was nothing that could be done for that. She of course is claiming that she felt pain and wasn’t really numbed. Would not be xsbaby unless there was drama involved as she is a drama queen. Was able to get the antibiotics and vicodan in liquid form for her since she can’t swallow pills.
She’s disgusted that it is not totally over with, but he said there’s no rush and that we could wait 6 mo or a year to do the rest.

A regular dentist took out wisdom teeth? That is usually the oral surgeon forte.

well not if they are not impacted. xsboy had 2 taken out by the pediatric dentist and the impacted ones by the oral surgeon. I guess her’s while not impacted on the bottom, were more difficult from the top and since she wasn’t docile, he didn’t want to mess with it and i don’t blame them.

the oral surgeon that took out xsboy and xsteen’s was NOT in our insurance network and it cost literally THOUSANDS. I had to prepay this, since they block the time out, and it was $900 something. I guess i will get some of that back since he didn’t do all 4. The dentist promised to sit down and look at our insurance and refer out to someone who participates. He was very sympathetic and said it is ridic what oral surgeons charge because the sedation is not difficult and procedure only takes 45 minutes.

We’ve still got 24 degrees now, but it’s supposed to drop this afternoon.

Speaking of which, this afternoon ends the reign of the Boy Mayor. You’d think being mayor of a big city at age 26 could turn into something positive. Maybe becoming a governor or senator.

Instead, divorced and hoping to keep the FBI at bay. So sad.

But his sedation was not effective this time, if she was having pain. It's the bread and butter of oral surgery, when half the waiting room is made up of teens. I'm glad she is halfway done.
It's still only 7 here with windchills in double digits. I do not like winter.
