Rep. Steve King (R-IA) was right: illegal alien minors have, in fact, been used to smuggle large volumes of illicit drugs into the United States of America on behalf of Mexican drug cartels.
Journalist Lorne Matalon reported for Fronteras in mid-December 2013 that U.S. authorities arrested six Mexican nationals--including four minors--attempting to carry marijuana across the border.
Reportedly, the 12-year-old boy carried the heaviest load of 80 pounds of marijuana.“U.S. Border Patrol agents have arrested six Mexicans with more than 300 pounds of marijuana,” Matalon wrote on Dec. 10, 2013. “Four of the six were juveniles including two 17-year-olds, a 16-year-old and a 12-year-old boy. The arrests took place near a U.S. Border Patrol checkpoint south of Marfa, Texas, on the road that links Ojinaga, Chihuahua, with borderland Texas.”
Matalon reported that Border Patrol agents say the group carried the marijuana on their backs and attempted to walk around a checkpoint at which drug sniffing dogs were stationed.
If this sounds very familiar, it is no accident.
Because Rep. King was lambasted from the Obama Administration -- and even his own Speaker and Majority Leader -- for merely pointing out that this was happening.
In an interview with NewsMax published in mid-July, Rep. King--an fierce opponent against granting amnesty to illegal aliens--made the following statement:
“Some of them are valedictorians — and their parents brought them in,” King argued. “It wasn't their fault. It's true in some cases, but they aren't all valedictorians. They weren't all brought in by their parents.”The pro-amnesty RINOs went ballistic.“For everyone who's a valedictorian, there's another 100 out there who weigh 130 pounds — and they’ve got calves the size of cantaloupes because they're hauling 75 pounds of marijuana across the desert,” King added in the interview. “Those people would be legalized with the same act.”
House Majority Leader Rep. Eric Cantor (R-VA), a lawmaker pushing a bill called the KIDS Act which would grant amnesty to illegal alien youths, rushed in to attack King. "I strongly disagree with his characterization of the children of immigrants and find the comments inexcusable,” Cantor said at the time.
Less than an hour later, House Speaker John Boehner seconded Cantor’s criticisms. “There can be honest disagreements about policy without using hateful language,” Boehner said in a statement. “Everyone needs to remember that.”

When the little rascal's not dealing drugs--- he's cashing US govt checks: UI, SSI, Workmen's Comp, TANF (temporary assistance to needy families), WICS (food assistance), subsidized Section 8 shelter, ObamaPhone subsidies, Utility Assistance subsidies, $5000 a year EITC checks per identity, hefty monthly "asylum" checks from SS ....
Plus he's thrifty---wire transfers large amounts of drug assets and US govt proceeds----for his early retirement in sun-drenched Mexico.
He's applied for in-state tuition to several US colleges (w/ several identities he gets Pell grant checks rolling in regularly).
He's industrious----even applied for a job in Cong Gutierrez's office---where several "Dreamers" are already employed.

CHICAGO (AP) — Mexican drug cartels whose operatives once rarely ventured beyond the US border are dispatching some of their most trusted agents to live and work deep inside the United States — an emboldened presence that experts believe is meant to tighten their grip on the world's most lucrative narcotics market and maximize profits. In Chicago, the police commander who oversees narcotics investigations, James O'Grady, said street-gang disputes over turf account for most of the city's uptick in murders last year, when slayings topped 500 for the first time since 2008.
Although the cartels aren't dictating the territorial wars, they are the source of drugs. Riley's assessment is stark: He argues that the cartels should be seen as an underlying cause of Chicago's disturbingly high murder rate. "They are the puppeteers," he said. "Maybe the shooter didn't know and maybe the victim didn't know that. But if you follow it down the line, the cartels are ultimately responsible."

Steve King was talking about the best and worst illegals. Keep in mind being a valedictorian at Trayvon Martin or Rachel Jeantel’s school is not a big deal. Some of these schools in Miami, LA and San Antonio are pretty weak. In Newark there were 3 students ready for college.
Most regular illegals are probably below average students if they are from poor urban minority backgrounds. The Haitian students in Miami are not brilliant.
Rep King has been vindicated, yet Boehner and Cantor hide behind the amnesty veil.
