Ice and snow festival in China brings winter wonderland to life

While much of the U.S. prepares for potentially record-breaking cold temperatures this week, the Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival has visitors flocking to northeast China to, uh, chill out. The event kicked off Sunday with an ice swimming competition, but the festival really heats up (we know, we know) at night when guests stroll past giant ice sculptures illuminated in a winter village.

This is why China can enter any world market ... they have imagination, initiative and tons of people to accomplish just about anything.

I remember when Americans were refered to as confident and capable.

Then I read The Ugly American.

The Chinese can certainly produce beauty.
Too bad they can't consider female babies beautiful creatures of God, NOT to be aborted.

These ice sculptors are hired every year to produce an ice display at the Gaylord Texan Hotel in Grapevine TX.

Is an excellent production and well worth seeing.

We have tons of people too, but it’s just to expensive to pay them because of the minimum wage and other government requirements.
