I guess they were smart enough to know it was too cold to make the trip. I’ve got freshly cooked hotdogs for us tonight.

Ive been eating the heavy stuff from my freezer..

In Nov I made beans from scratch using left over ham from Thanksgiving and a heavy soup from the bones of the turkey..

I put them in freezer bags..

all I have to do is thaw a little and put the soup in a pot..

In the last few days Ive finished all the soup and

The beans Im finishing tonight warming them in a big soup bowl in the microwave..

plus I made a lot of meatballs last week for New Years,,

all were suppose to last a little longer but Ive finished off everything that was already cooked and in the freezer..

Tomorrow I have to get out of my winter cocoon and cook something from scratch

:(

I’ve been slowly building a hankerin’ for sausage balls. Might even make a run to Wally world tomorrow, to get the fixins. I prefer ham sausage and extra sharp cheddar, with tabasco, in Bisquick. I usually chop a bit of red onion into the mix before rolling them up to cook. They freeze nicely once cooked, so I plan on making a whole lot and freezing them, to much on as I get a hankerin’.

Nope. I live in Florida. Natives do this starting at about 50F.
