Robbery charges have been filed against three men arrested in connection with the theft of a dying woman’s wedding ring, taken from her finger, as well as other property stolen from her crashed truck in south Wichita last month, police said.
Daquantrius Shaquill Johnson, Quanique Dontrell Thomas-Hameen and Keith Byron Hickles Jr., all of them 19 years old, made their first appearances Wednesday afternoon in Sedgwick County District Court. Each was charged with a single count of robbery of Danielle Zimmerman, who suffered a brain aneurysm while driving her truck in the drive-through lane of the Taco Bell at 3725 E. Harry on the evening of Dec. 29. Her truck crashed into a speaker box in the drive-through lane after she had gone to get dinner for her family, police have said.
The three men charged Wednesday are accused of stealing Zimmerman’s wedding band, her purse and other items from her as she lay stricken in her vehicle.
Police have said the wedding ring was stolen off her finger. She died the next day.

Maybe we need to be like Germany and restrict baby names. If they want the hospital to name them, OK and let the namer chose from an approved list.

My dad worked for child welfare in NYC back in the bad old days and once got to name an abandoned baby that was found.
I won’t say the whole name (hey, I hope he’s still out there and doing well, my dad was pretty proud about it, it might even have been in the papers) but he gave him the first name Matthew (he said it means child of God) and for a last name the street where they found him. Which actually happens to be a traditional English (I guess) last name.
No civilized human being would ever consider that behavior. These three sub-human pieces of filth deserve to be slowly executed with a vegetable peeler and a gallon of lemon juice.
Note that Keith Byron is a "Jr." Otherwise he might be "Daquaniquequill Shadontrius" Hickles.

There was a somewhat similar case a few years ago in Indiana. A woman was involved in a terrible car crash (someone ran a four way stop, IIRC). Some homeless guy ran up to the scene and robbed her while she was bleeding out - including pulling her wedding ring off her finger.
I forget what the bum got, but it wasn’t enough. I doubt these lowlifes will get nearly what they deserve from the criminal justice system.
Then again, the way I see it, anyone willing to rob a dying woman pretty much has forfeited their right to continue to share the air the rest of us breathe.

My niece was killed in an auto crash several years ago. Thieves took her purse and wallet before emergency personal and state troopers arrived. It took over 10 hours to identify her and notify family.
